Really enjoyed this place!

We stayed here as a first stop on a New Mexico road trip. This is steps away from the plaza. Everyone, who worked there, we encountered on the property was friendly and professional. The underground parking garage was a big plus. There are many awesome eating options in the area. The Burrito Company next door has awesome breakfast. Overall this hotel is a great value, and we would stay here again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Amazing attention to detail

This was our first time traveling since the pandemic. We were welcomed with a lovely gift and Santiago the concierge made our stay very welcoming. The rooms were exceptionally clean! Everything was perfect. Visitors should feel very comfortable staying here. Highly Recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Top Hotel in Santa Fe

Today with Covid, it is critical to know that you are going to be safe when traveling. The room was kept out of service for 24-48 hrs and sealed. Inside, it was spotless. You couldn’t find a spot on the fixtures or even the glassware. Which meant it was wiped clean. The rooms all have windows that open to the outside so you can leave your windows open and even in the Santa Fe July heat, the room is kept cool without resorting to air movement through ducts. But even without that, the air is not re-cycled like most hotels given the physical layout. Special thanks to Elsa in housekeeping. Thank you for removing my sense of anxiety at venturing out. Thank You! Cleanliness is a 5! I don’t care what the rating in TripAvisor is. I’ve now stayed at the Chimayo every recent time I’ve come to Santa Fe. You can’t find a better location. Step out to the left and a quarter block away is the plaza. From there you know how to get to everywhere. The moment Lawrence saw I was unhappy with our room, he suggested an upgrade and made it reasonable to do. Lawrence and Santiago took care of everything. The other young woman helped with any requests. Customer Service is a 5! The rooms themselves are charming, especially those with fireplaces (that you can use in colder weather). When we travel by car we bring our pillows. Didn’t need them. Clean, crisp, comfortable, centrally located but just off the plaza for extra quiet. I’ve stayed at more expensive hotels in Santa Fe, just not better ones. Thanks folks! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Charm and comfort

This historic hotel was every bit as charming and quirky as we had hoped. What we didn't expect from an old hotel was the comfort and cleanliness; we loved our stay here! The location was wonderful, and we walked everywhere. Underground parking was also a big advantage. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
A true gem in Santa Fe

The hotel is walking distance from many of Santa Fe's popular historical sites, museums, galleries and restaurants. Close to all the action but once you are inside the hotel and inner courtyard, it feels completely peaceful and quiet. Rooms are very clean and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. I am definitely looking forward to my next visit! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
