Weekend trip

Aug 20th, 2019

We had a room above all the balconys. Large room with lots of space. Since we arrived late we had room service and ate in the room. The Hotel served the best food we ate in Krakow during our visit. The baathroom lacked a seperate shower which meant your had to climb into the tub to get a shower. A bit slippery and a minus. The breakfast was good and had all that you can expect. Friendly and helpful staff. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very good hotel

Aug 5th, 2019

Copernicus is a small but very stylish hotel, in one of the nicest streets in Krakow. The staff is nice. The rooms are in medieval style, unfortunately very dark. Everything in this hotel is of good quality. Good but not extraordinary breakfast. This hotel is a real experience to do when you are in Krakow, and... if you can afford it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Spectacular once again

Jul 31st, 2019

I returned to Hotel Copernicus in July 2019 for another spectacular stay while touring Kraków. The hotel continues to be flawlessly maintained and managed. The general manager, Joanna, warmly greets and looks after all of the guests with genuine interest and affection. The service from the hotel staff - bar and restaurant, front desk, bell service, housekeeping - is of the highest professional standard. Of course, the location of the hotel is the best in Kraków, just steps from the Wawel Cathedral and Castle, a 5-minute walk to the main market square (Rynek Głowny), a 10-minute walk to the Kazimierz district, and situated on a quiet, elegant street surrounded by the city's most famous historic and cultural sights. The hotel offers a rooftop terrace for drinks and relaxation with beautiful views of Wawel. I look forward to returning again and again to this beautiful property with its exceptional staff and amenities, and I give it my highest recommendation to others - particularly those visiting Kraków for the first time. Nice but odd

Jul 21st, 2019

The location is great -- right at the foot of Wawel Hill and a short walk to the Main Square. The hotel has lovely, old-world charm with historical detail. We stayed in the Panoramic Suite which I do not recommend. It's a very odd room. There is no stand-up shower. There's only a tub with a handheld showerhead that's not mounted on the wall, so you have to hold it if you want to keep the water running and soap with one hand. Otherwise, you have to turn the water off if you want to use both hands to soap and wash your hair, but then you're standing in the tub feeling cold, since there's no glass door or shower curtain. The furniture layout was also very odd. There were also two lounge chairs that were faded, stained and with cushions that lost their shape. Finally, the placement of the panoramic windows makes you feel like you're living in a fishbowl, as people on the rooftop deck have a direct view of the room, as do rooms with windows that face the atrium. Bottom line, if you're going to stay at this hotel, I would not book the Panoramic Suite. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The most luxurious hotel in all of Krakow.

Jul 18th, 2019

This hotel was beautiful and captures the essence of Krakow - charming, unique, unassuming. The staff is professional and friendly, but stays in the background unless you require their assistance. From breakfast in the morning in the lobby atrium, to the cocktails available on the rooftop, Hotel Copernicus offers the opportunity to experience the city even when in your hotel. The housekeeping was impeccable; everything was cleaned to perfection with no corners cut. We met the general manager during our stay. She was delightful, and prompt to serve in any way possible, even going so far as providing stamps and mailing postcards that she happened to see on my table! The hotel is extremely quiet, and is situated on a quiet road, with no traffic noise. This location is prime, just steps away from Wawel Castle. This was our first visit to Krakow and to Hotel Copernicus, but hopefully it will not be our last! If you are looking for luxury without pretense, this is the place to go! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
