Not all that great
Jan 7th, 2020
This property is touted as a high level service hotel I disagree for the following reasons- On checkin, got waved off by the man in a coat and tie to go to the other checkin person No greeting from the waver Checkin person handed me my key I asked him about the amenities and told him I was Titanium and about the lounge etc He used the excuse on mobile checkin it doesn’t show that information which is incorrect He had to reswipe the key No mention of their other items such as gym etc The fellow in the tie had another employee join him and they’ve talking about questions to the checkin agent I can’t understand why a lot these service personnel could really care less about the guest Got to lounge at 1850 and all the food had been pulled for a 1900 hour closing Asked the attendant and was able to obtain food In the morning on January 1st, the food in the lounge looked like it had been cooked the day before and reheated Not all that great to say the least Disappointed with this hotel Should close for the holidays if this is the type of services they provide TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Javon, was nothing less than spectacular during our staying for the holidays! He was friendly helpful and just overall provided great customer service which made our stay that much better! We will definitely return to Hotel Duval! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Awful. Does not represent “Autograph” Hotel.

The room is small, smelly, uncomfortable and dingy. The bathroom is a joke. Basically like a closet with no privacy provided by the frosted glass sliding door across from the bed. Thank goodness I had my sandals with me or I wouldn’t have even stepped in the shower. Since a picture speaks a thousand words I’ll include. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
A big disappointment!

Stayed 1 night to visit our grandson in college and decided to stay at Hotel Duval in Tallahassee. We are a Titanium elite members of Marriott and have always been upgraded and treated well of any hotels that we stayed at except this hotel. The room was dark and not what we expected of a Marriott hotel. The concierge lounge was pretty sad. The only saving grace was the person serving us. He was very friendly and did a great job! Wish we would have gotten his name! The rating of this hotel should be a 2. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Redeeming Moments Made the Stay

Honestly a good price on HotWire got us the reservation not knowing the name of the hotel originally. We were encouraged to see positive reviews and affiliation with Marriott after we had the reservation. Location to downtown and FSU was good. Valet parking is the only option ($15 a day parking charge) unless you want to park on street with meters and move/pay as needed. The rooms were a "contemporary" style but that some time back as they still seemed dated. "Tired" is a good word for the rooms as they showed wear and tear more than I expected for a 4 Star hotel (according to HotWire). [For example, scratches on furniture pieces, shower nozzel missing a ceiling plate, etc.] Another thing to note is that the rooms are very dark with smaller, higher windows. Not a deal breaker probably for anyone but something to consider if that is problematic for you. The rooms and bathrooms are on the smaller side too. What redeemed much of any negatives for us was the warm and extremely courteous staff. They went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. They switched our rooms when requested without problems and made sure we had everything we needed. Craig at the front desk was particularly helpful. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
