Beautiful Hotel in Old San Juan
Nov 14th, 2020
The front desk staff was amazing and beautiful hotel. Down side is that the pool area could be nicer and don’t let the pictures fool you the pool is tiny. It was also half filled so I didn’t go in it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This hotel is an amazing place, with a superior service. Fabiola received us at front desk and made our check-in great. Later, Ricardo helped us at the bar and was a very nice experience. Location of hotel is perfect, and nostalgia that the place brings makes the stay very romantic. These people found the perfect conjunction between historic conservation and clean and updated hotel. Looking forward to stay again TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Best bartender in Old San Juan!

Ricky!!! That’s all I need to say! Best mojitos on the island! Whether you want a coconut or ginger, passion fruit or standard mojito — this guy is legit! 6 stars out of 5! The hotel ambiance is pretty exceptional as well, and there is a lot of history considering this hotel has been here for more than 350 years. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Canceled my booking but refused to issue a credit.

I was booked into the El Convento On Sunday, March 15 after disembarking from the NCL EPIC cruise ship. The ship was refused entry as they would not allow any non residents on the island. Unfortunately we found out about this at 6 AM of the day I was booked. There was no satellite or phone service from the ship. My husband had heard on the news what had happened and called them. They cancelled my reservations, but refused to recredit our account to the tune of over 300.00. I was extremely disappointed, and I believe that I was not the only one from that ship who had a reservation. We didn't land until 3 days later in Florida. Everyone...flights, NCL...has been wonderful except this hotel. Since their government would not let us land, I think the very least they could do to provide good will was to credit my payment back to me. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
