Okay for getting your head down, but run-down and over-priced

I spent nine nights in the hotel whilst looking for a flat to rent. I'd read reviews and seen the photos and was not expecting a luxury stay but I noticed clear failings in the quality of the rooms in this hotel. In nine nights I had THREE different rooms as there was a substantial issue with each one. The first room was one of the older style ones (red and green motif straight from the 70s). The room was dirty and STUNK of cigarette smoke. The second room was much nicer, but the bathroom window was broken and during a storm one night kept making the bathroom door slam. The toilet also made a strange smell. The third room was the best one out of all of them but the blinds were broken on the windows and the hairdryer kept cutting off during use. In both of the two second rooms the taps didn't work properly (hot was cold and cold was hot). In terms of the positives, the beds are comfy and the breakfast, though basic, is pleasant and plentiful. Bedrooms are given a clean every day. The staff are mostly helpful and were happy to change my room when I highlighted an issue to them. However, you have to consider the price of this hotel (which although mpre affordable than other hotels in Brussels is by no means cheap). If this hotel was cheaper then you might overlook some of its misgivings but the price you pay isn't reflective of the quality of the accommodation offered currently. The overall feel of the hotel is that it is run-down and a bit calamitous. If you have to stay in Brussels more than a few nights and can afford to stay elsewhere, I'd do that. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Zero Stars for Worst Customer Service Experience-Ever

I booked this hotel through a third party vendor, one that I use all the time and have zero issues with. I'm not sure what kind of scam this hotel is running, but after traveling all day long in another country and arriving at nearly midnight, I was not pleased to hear my reservation had been mysteriously canceled. The only correspondence I'd received all day was the email confirming my booking, and that there was no need to contact the property. The extremely rude clerk kept barking at me that my reservation had been canceled and how could I could not know that. I informed him I'd not been contacted and asked him to show me what had been sent to me, which he of course could not seem to do. I asked repeatedly if I could at least simply book a room through him directly, since it was nearly midnight and in that location, there is really no where else to go, at least as far as I could tell. He ignored me, saying again and again that my card was bad, despite the fact that I'd been using that credit card all day, without any problems whatsoever. Furthermore, that particular card is the one I have on file with that booking site, and it has never been an issue. He claimed he could only offer me a lesser room than the one I'd booked, and at a much higher rate. He told me I could go elsewhere if I didn't like it, as if there was anywhere else to go. I accepted, and handed over that same credit card, knowing it would work just fine. It did. The room itself was adequate, but overpriced considering the ordeal we had to go through just to get it. I've traveled all over the world extensively and never been so displeased by a hotel. The hotel itself is a decent budget option, but because of the disgustingly rude attendant I had to work with, I would suggest taking one's business elsewhere. Giving this dump your business only to put up with being treated so poorly is simply not worth it. Best of luck! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not very good sadly

Booked this as I just needed a place to sleep for a few hours. Staff was not very good in english, had problems just getting checked in. The bed was below ok, found lots of hairs on it, and the floor was full of dust.. Worst part was the bathroom, the corners in the shower had huge buildups of dirt.. to the point where it was actually 1 cm high..brown, black, green dirt.. The morning food was below average as it contained bread, and white cheese, and some small boxes of jam.. that was it.. Sadly I can not recomend this place. I am sure if I went to complain I would get a new room, but I was way to tired after 13 hours on the road, so I just slept and got out of there in a hurry. n TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

2 star hotel

The hotel is located in Evere, 10 km far from Bxl, in the way to the airport. It is a 2 star hotel, with a 2 star-level service. Minimal breakfast, rooms with many drawbacks: plugs out of the wall, noisy room, old and mainly shaky furniture etc. Wifi was fast enough. It was a busy week in bxl and all the hotels had incredibly high prices, however, if I have to consider the service that I received for the price I paid this was definitively to high. I know that this is the market law but I can not be satisfied with what I received. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good for a night, but when other options are available, take them

Run-down "hotel", needs an URGENT face-lift and decent maintenance, clean bedlinen, clean but old-fashioned room, clean but poorly equipped bathroom, clean but rusty shower. So called "smoke-free rooms" are in fact rooms that have been hit with an air-refresher after somebody smoked there TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
