Great People, Great Location, Great Service

Mar 5th, 2020

This is an amazing hotel close to the Museums, shopping, and transit lines. The neighborhood is quiet and the rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. The owners are the nicest people, accommodating my every need. I arrived at 7AM on the day I was to check in and my room was available . they also invited me to breakfast that day and gave me a lot of advice on the city. Anything you need, they are happy to help with a smile and boundless enthusiasm. I would stay there again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Perfect stay in the Museum Quarter!

Feb 27th, 2020

This is the perfect place to stay in Amsterdam for a weekend. The breakfast in the morning is great, and the walk to the Van Gogh, Moco, Stedelijk and Rijksmuseum is within minutes. Really quiet, clean and large room. Roel and Kees are lovely and make the stay as comfortable as possible. Highly recommend! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fabulous hotel

Feb 24th, 2020

Just got home after a fabulous weekend in Amsterdam, made even better by staying at the Hotel Fita. From the minute we arrived we were warmly greeted and looked after, the room was large and very comfortable and the breakfast buffet catered for everyone, there were also freshly cooked pancakes! Nothing was too much trouble and we will definitely be back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great hotel near Museum area

Feb 20th, 2020

This is a lovely little hotel within 5 minutes walk of the Riksmuseum. On a quiet street it is also within walking distance of restaurants. The welcome is very warm and friendly- our room, a large twin on the 3rd floor, was comfortable and as others have mentioned, breakfast which is included in the price - is excellent. Despite being full the staff coped well with the breakfast rush and home made pancakes came quickly and plentiful. I particularly liked the fresh decor of the breakfast room - lovely on a rather dreary February day. The hotel also has an honesty bar which was a nice touch. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Comfortable and friendly hotel in museum quarter.

Feb 18th, 2020

My girlfriend and I stayed here recently for a romantic weekend. We had read the previous positive reviews and were not disappointed. From check in to leaving the hotel, everyone was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located for the museums with many right on your doorstep. The Hermitage is a little further away, but still very manageable on foot, as are the main shopping area and Dam Square. There is also a tram stop just around the corner which has easy access to Zuid station for connection to the railway for Schiphol Airport etc. The hotel is situated in a quiet street and there was little in the way of noise at night, even with the window open. We chose one of the larger rooms on the second floor and found it very comfortable, with a large bed and a walk in shower. The only disappointment was that there is no fridge in the room so we had to improvise by putting stuff outside on the window ledge. This worked well as it was January and quite cold outside. However, we were unaware that the Amsterdam pigeons are connoisseurs of Dutch cheese. After losing several packages to them, we admitted defeat and only brought stuff back to our room that we would eat promptly. As many have mentioned before, the breakfast is very good. There is a selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt and breads as well as scrambled eggs and some bacon if you prefer something hot. The coffee machine is not the greatest by any stretch of the imagination, so those in need of a caffeine fix in the morning may have to venture out to a nearby cafe - as the majority of the cup is filled with frothy milk and very little in the way of coffee. However, the pancakes are wonderful and freshly made to order. We would definitely recomment the Hotel Fita to anyone looking for a clean and comfortable hotel close to all the attractions. We will definitely be back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
