Great hotel. Bad bar/restaurant

Feb 10th, 2020

Oh, I so wanted to give this lovely hotel a 5 star rating. I love repurposed buildings that become boutique hotels. This one does not disappoint. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and unique. I walked into the cool art deco bar and restaurant and wanted to stay all day. Sadly, it's not run well, so on three different outings, we had such disappointing experience. At lunch time, our party of 3 was the only party in the place - and it still took 45 minutes to get our food. That evening, we had to ask for our drinks twice and it took one hour to get appetizers. The next morning - Sunday brunch was a complete disaster. Waited an hour for food - and so did everyone else. Two people at another table- after waiting an hour - didn't even get their food. Finally had to complain to the front desk supervisor. She said she was aware of the problems and would "do something for us." That something was a sad plate of cheese and fruit delivered to our room - that was warm as we didn't return to our room until late. Our last evening, we walked 5 blocks in 20 degree weather to eat elsewhere to avoid the hotel restaurant. Give this hotel a try, but beware of the bar. Hopefully they have worked out the issues. Unique hotel that is clean, comfy, and convienient

Jan 29th, 2020

We stayed here to attend the George Strait concert in Jan 2020. Very nice hotel. Decor is nice, rooms and property was clean and well maintained. Staff was attentive. Only a block from the trolley line, and 5 or so blocks from the Sprint Center. Parking is $25/night valet. Not sure if self park is available. Nice bar and restaurant on 1st floor. Plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Top Notch Hotel

Jan 28th, 2020

We recently stayed at this hotel and do not have anything negative to say. The bed was extremely comfortable, the lounge area was comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had come from out of state to see a concert and was so glad we stayed at the Indigo. Close to everything, walking distance to the WWI Museum and venue. Breakfast was also excellent! Highly recommend! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Best hotel downtown kc

Jan 20th, 2020

My fiance and I enjoyed our stay for the basic reasons - comfortable room, good design, clean, But the icing on the cake was definitely Rosalind at the front desk. She’s kind, helpful, funny, and you can tell she genuinely cares. We'd come back just to catch another of her stories. Thanks being a great host, rosalind! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Incredible Boutique Hotel!

Dec 20th, 2019

Great location, in the middle of downtown, Several convenient restaurants nearby. Barbecue. Pizza, delis, steak, and a popular one attached, Dott Boss. Large rooms, and bathrooms, lots of pillows, with proper density. King bed had a wonderful mattress. Front desk gal, Rosalind, was super, Friendly, helpful, accommodating, efficient. After a rather trying travel day. It was refreshing to check in with a pleasant professional who help us immensely. My wife and I highly recommend this Hotel Indigo in Kansas City TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
