disappointing

- I had to call the hotel at my arrival to get the door opened. I had rung the bell several times in vain. - no Italian TV channels! in Berlin! in an Indigo! - the tents were not able to fully dark the room - at check-out the front office asked me if everything was ok, I reported some of the above, but she did not seem too sorry about it, reaction a bit cold TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Short break with David Erqhuart travel

Feb 12th, 2020

We organised a 3 day short break with David Erqhuart travel to Berlin, we were picked up at the airport and within 30 minutes we were at our hotel for our stay which was the hotel Indigo excellent central location. Clean modern the view from our 3rd floor room over the city was exceptional, great breakfast. So we started our sightseeing by taking a hop on hop off Great Bus cost 20 euro each which lasted for 48 hours. Brilliant value. We visited the Museum, the East Gallery Side marvellous art decor on the wall, the Brandenburgh Gate, the Jewish Cemetery which is a marvellous tribute to so many people who lost their lives. The following day we visited the Berlin Zoo an entrance fee of 16 euros no concessions. To say it is supposed to be one of the best zoos in Europe my opinion sorry to say is a joke. During our stay we also visited a few great restaurants - Spreegold located on the Budapester Strasse. Great atmosphere the place was buzzing, food more like a school dinner but ok. The next restaurant we visited was the Luardi friendly helpful staff my Argentinian fillet steak was marvellous, with drinks for 4 people a three course meal was 25 euros a head, brilliant food, excellent service. Congratulations to the chef. A must visit is recommended. Following day we visited the Berlin Zoo an entgrance charge of 16 euros TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice hotel, but...

Jan 6th, 2020

I chose to stay at this hotel when exploring Berling due to the closeness to the Kurfurstendamm, Museum für Fotografie and the Zoo station - in that respect, the location couldn't be better - however walking zig-zag between the vomit and drug addicts outside the station wasn't the nicest experience. The hotel it self was very nice. Friendly staff and clean, quirky rooms. As with many Indigo hotels, the rooms aren't very big, but you get what you need. I never tried the food at the hotel as there are so many nice cafes and restaurants in the area. When I return to Berlin this hotel will be high on my list of alternatives, the location and the convenience of getting to the airport made for an overall relaxing and nice stay. Second time in 2019. Great place.

Clean, modern and with a great breakfast this hotel is one that I will return to when I next come to Berlin. Mixing business with pleasure this hotel is well located only two minutes walk (and in sight of) the Zoologischer Gardens rail station which can take you easily to anywhere else in Berlin, including directly to the airport. My criticisms are that there are no USB charging ports, which I would think should be a requirement for any modern boutique hotel and the rooms (even the slightly better one) are quite small. The only other thing, and I think it's a general things for all German hotels in my experience, there are TV stations in many languages but in English, only the new channel. Why is this? Apart from that, I recommend this place. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
