Very nice place!

Oct 12th, 2019

We normally stay in Marriott properties so it is nice to see different places and this one is good. The room is a good size with a comfortable bed and a great view. The bathroom is also very nice with great water pressure in the shower. There is so much to do within a short walk it is hard to try everything. The pool is on the roof as well as the main bar so it is very enjoyable to relax with a drink at the pool and see the city from above. We had a lovely stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very nice, airy room and friendly people

Aug 20th, 2019

We stayed over a weekend and were very happy overall. We arrived early on a Friday and cringed a bit about being early, but the front desk clerk had a room for us. It was no problem at all! She was also very friendly and told us about all of the restaurants and galleries we could walk to from the hotel. She gave us a couple of maps and spent quite a bit of time telling us about the Art Walk that night and the renovation of the historic downtown. She was VERY helpful. Our room was more like a suite although we didn't have a couch. It was a corner room, and therefor nice and quiet for sleeping at night. The air conditioning unit does roar but I always sleep with either white noise or brown noise from my iPhone so I slept next to the unit. It definitely put me out cold. The furniture in the room was sleek and modern, and the wall with the tropical plant print was cool. I thought the bed and pillows were comfortable; once I folded the pillow for neck support I slept hard (of course running the whole time we were there enhanced falling asleep too). The hair and body care was by Aveda; being from the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, I was familiar with Rosemary-Mint Shampoo & Conditioner and was very happy to have them! Friday afternoon we managed to forget our travel umbrellas at a downtown restaurant. The hotel had full-size ones we borrowed for about 20 minutes, long enough to retrieve our own. We were very appreciative! The only real problem we had was that I showered Friday night before bed and discovered that the handle of the hair dryer was gooey. It had gotten something on it and had decomposed so that the rubber was tacky and stuck to my hand (this was the whole handle not just a spot). I had to wash my hand twice and use hand sanitizer to get the residue off. It was about 9 pm and my husband called down to the front desk to get another one since ours was not useable. First, someone was going to run one up to us, then after we didn't get it, my husband called down again. Then security was going to bring it up to us. Well, after 11 pm we said skip it. My husband called down and told them we were going to bed and we would pursue it in the morning. The next morning, Saturday, we brought the melting blow dryer down to the front desk and explained what had happened the night before. That clerk was very nice and said "Oh they probably couldn't find them." We also asked for some more hair product as it was very humid and rainy and we knew we would both be washing our hair again 2 times more before we left. When we got back after being out all day, we discovered a brand new hair dryer and a bag of Aveda care products, as well as a stack of fresh towels. It seemed like they were trying to be extra nice because of the hair dryer issue! This hotel is located very close to several good restaurants and a very nice waterfront Skybar (at the Firestone). Hotel Indigo has its own Skybar on the roof which was very cool. We went there on Friday for Happy Hour drinks; it started raining hard and we were able to duck inside. We had Gin & Tonics but the tonic water had a bad flavor, so my husband returned them to the bartender in exchange for white wine. Fortunately the bartender was easy-going and nice about it, which we really appreciated. We sat on a couch under the bar's overhang (a few feet back) and watched as it poured. The people in the pool a few feet down the hall beat a hasty retreat! The skyline was really neat to look at while talking and drinking. When we checked out, the desk clerk was very friendly again. The lobby is decorated in American Mid-Century Modern, and I would guess that appeals to hipsters and millennials. We liked it as it was tasteful and unusual. I would definitely stay here again! Miserable Over-priced Hotel

Aug 19th, 2019

I spent one night at this hotel on a business trip to Ft. Myers. The lobby resembles more tasteless aspects of 1960's décor. At 8:30 pm I had to wait for the front desk clerk to get back from assisting another guest. While a pleasant person, she seemed to do everything, including guest relations, maintenance, etc. The owners spared every expense during construction, including the most noisy split air-conditioning units from Amana which roared when they came on. Every time it came on I was awakened. You could hear every door in the hallway bang close. The pillows were overstuffed foam and not comfortable at all. The towels and wash cloths are a notch above car drying rags. The room acoustics were appalling, amplifying the TV and the A/C. The hotel does not serve breakfast. When I complained to the front desk in the morning, she gave me the mandatory valet parking for free. I travel a lot and this is definitely a hotel to be avoided! Incidentally, I learned that I was not the only guest to complain about the noisy A/C units. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Much too expensive

Jul 30th, 2019

this hotel is well located in downtown Fort myers walking distance from nicest restaurants and bars here No breakfast, old furnitures, shooter was clean but didn’t work properly, this hotel would deserve more care by the staff and owner Very high potential if you add a breakfast room inside the hotel a bar… Unfortunately none of this exists here and it gives finaly a very cold impression without atmosphere TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
