No question where too book for our anniversary have been numerous times and had a fantastic time. However house Keeping was a let down maybe an oversight .I have too mention (Trina) restaurant manager FABULOUS as ever and our bar tender (Maciej )who could not do enough for us and made our break memorable he is such a lovely person and I hope he does well with Hotel Indigo. Good location and nice

Sep 17th, 2019

I’ve stayed in a few Indigo hotels lately, part of the IHG group. Unfortunately no upgrades for spire members , usual points awarded. Room was ok , small but clean , tv lacked any king of program guide which was a bit of a pain. Decent shower and service by reception. 1 of the lifts were broken, so regular wait time. Had a meal in restaurant , was actually pretty good. Breakfast was standard fare, although slow service Good location , over all good, but not 5 star for me compared to the other indigos I’ve stayed in. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Ideal Location

Sep 16th, 2019

Stayed at the hotel for the second time. The hotel is located close to all the bars and restaurants. The quayside is a 20 minute stroll downhill and the shopping centres are all close by. The parking is a bit expensive for hotel parking but very convenient. We never ate in the restaurant but had breakfast we enjoyed. The room was large and spacious on the 4th floor. The bar area is relaxing and good service. Staff were very nice and efficient. We would always use this hotel due to its locality. Point to note is if you have not been in Newcastle, it has a slope down to the river. If you have mobility or heath issues it could be a bitt of a puff for you heading back up hill but worth it as the quayside is a nice visit. Newcastle is a very friendly place as well. 1 night stay

Sep 15th, 2019

Reception check in very good. Parking charges in their car park need to pay reception to get a slightly cheaper rate. Standard Room booked - fine spacious with shower window locks broke unable to open. The door to room didn't shut propearly and the tray with kettle on in wardrobe???. There was also a fridge in there but one plug with kettle cable hanging down. We brought this up at reception when we left to be told this is an issue and tray should be used on the desk (so why put it there?) but they had many complaints in regards to this. Also be aware if you have poached eggs at breakfast that they don't seem to cook them enough ours and the next table had the same problem. Make your own mind up on the star rating.
