Comfortable getaway

Aug 20th, 2019

We (my mother, husband, toddler, and me) had a pleasant 2-night stay here. We loved heading to the beach along the cliff trail and the Del Mar beach itself was gorgeous and family friendly. We also appreciated being within short driving distance to Torrey Pines State Reserve. The size of the room (107), the sliver of ocean that we saw through our window, and the pool were appreciated. The restaurant was pleasant, although the poor server was handling a nearly full house on his own (it seems that they didn't expect so many customers on a Sunday night). He very generously compensated us for the slow service, and, generally, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Our only complaints are the cheap flooring (we could see every footprint since the last cleaning), the thin walls, and the lack of beach towels (pool towels were thin and tiny). Stayed at Hotel Indigo in Del Mar Ca. The city of Del Mar is a wonderful place to stay. Hotel Indigo made it a great stay. Friendly staff and good service, trying to accommodate our requests. The rooms are spacious and clean. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice Hotel but not Kid Friendly!

Aug 5th, 2019

This hotel is a boutique hotel and is very cute with a beach theme throughout. We are a family with 3 small kids. Pros: very comfortable beds, close to the beach, 15 minute walk to restautants, nice view of ocean, pleasant staff Cons: no carpet in rooms, tiny bathrooms, shower only, no bathtub, one sink, no counter space, There are newer, nicer parts to the hotel that have suites. It was difficult to not have a bathtub to wash the kids, plus the shower is all glass so that is not easy with kids. The bathrooms are tiny. My husband barely fit in there. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Hair in the bed

Jul 16th, 2019

Do not DO NOT stay here. There were many, many hairs in the bed, and the woman at the front desk did not seem to think that was a problem. The maintenance man was the only one that was the least bit concerned. I only gave in one star because I had to. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Boutique Hotel With Exceptional Staff

Jul 7th, 2019

Being a Spire member, I’ve probably stayed at 50 different Holiday Inn’s, but this was the first time staying at a property in the same IHG family, but not a Holiday Inn. When checking in, Benito (I’m pretty sure that was his name) was one of the most friendliest and accommodating front staff I have ever seen at any property, and if there were more people with his level of service and friendliness, no properties would ever get less than 5 stars. The room (104) was a great split room with the most comfortable bed, and the property itself was very clean and maintained...even on this 4th of July holiday weekend. Overall, a great property to stay at, and I would not hesitate to book again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
