Another brilliant holiday
Dec 28th, 2019
Travelled middle of August for two weeks. This is our 3rd visit to this hotel. As we booked through a tour operator we got a classic room not refurbished, which is perfectly fine. Room is clean and cleaner comes every day and sheets changed every 2nd day no cleaner on a Sunday. Basic utensils toaster, kettle sure that's all you need as it's just breakfast and sandwiches for lunch. We ate out every night in one of the many Restaurants in Lindos Village. We did have dinner in the hotel a few times the food is outstanding and the service exceptional thanks to Sheena and Yanni in the bar. The ladies on the reception are always very helpful. The pool area and gardens are very clean and well kept. We had an issue with a broken air conditioning but was replaced with a new unit. Ok there are charges for air con, use of a safe but these are standard for Greece. And In August aircon is a must as temps hit the mid to high 30's. We always rent a car for a few days to explore the island a visit to Rhodes Town which is a must. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hotel Lindos View as a family holiday destination. If it's a quiet resort your looking for. Perhaps management might look into upgrading the sunloungers as they are very tired and some broken. We have already booked for August 2020. Staff are so rude!
Dec 4th, 2019
We first stayed here back in 2014 when we got married in Lindos, we got nothing special on our wedding day and the staff didn’t even acknowledge me when I came through in my dress. Stayed a further week after the wedding and didn’t even get a ‘congratulations’. Anyway I thought maybe it was me being sensitive so when we booked to come back in May 2019 with our baby we chose this hotel again. Big mistake. The staff are so unbelievably rude. They leave you standing for ages before serving you for no reason, they don’t ever say hello when you walk through the bar/reception area. We ordered breakfast one day with my parents who stayed in another hotel and the man threw the menus down on the table, didn’t look at us when taking our order and basically grunted at us. We ordered cocktails at the bar one evening to take back to the room because we had to put our baby to bed and Sheena mocked us and laughed (not in a joking way) making me feel really stupid for asking to take the drinks to the room. They charge extra for EVERYTHING! Or room both times was lovely and the pool /reception area are nice. Food is really nice although I didn’t want to give them my money by ordering there because they are so horrible. I would definitely come back to Lindos but never again to this hotel TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
What a lovely place!
Nov 2nd, 2019
My husband and I were delighted to find this hotel on our trip around Rhodes. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was beautifully laid out and equipped and had a lovely view of the acropolis. The icing on the cake was the food, which was both great to look at and tasted delicious. Fabulous. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Hardest beds ever!!
Oct 30th, 2019
Just returned from here. Reading other reviews it seems this hotel is a place of 2 halves where some rooms have been refurbished and others haven't. Our room, whilst spacious and clean was very basic and dated with no character atall, no curtains or pictures just white walls. The Kitchenette was basic, no sharp knives, no egg cups or cooking utensils. Usually when staying self catering, i expect some basic things eg soap/washing up liquid, tea towels, cloths, but there was nothing. Also no complimentary bathroom soaps or shower gels etc. The room was also noisy, paper thin walls and lots of noise from outside and a nearby farm with an enthusiastic cockeral doing its thing at 4am, meaning i had to buy ear plugs! The main problem though was the beds- Rock hard and i mean ROCK hard, it was like sleeping on concrete. I actually have sores. The linen was grim, a white sheet and an orange blanket. Everything in this hotel is extra, including air con, priced at 67euros for a week. Pool area ok but broken and old sunbeds. The only positive was the restaurant which did good food and a good location. Maybe the newer rooms are better but i would not book this hotel again , mainly because of the beds! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
A TRULY WONDERFUL PLACE TO RELAX.
Oct 23rd, 2019
We stayed for a week in mid-October, and it really was a wonderful, relaxing experience. We had a room in the building at the front, House of Hearts, with a great view of the Acropolis, day and night. And even though the main road was close by, the road noise did not penetrate the room. As for the room itself, wow, a walk in rain shower with enough room to throw a party, there were a fridge and a kettle, the beds were extremely comfortable, but we never did try the jacuzzi bath, next time, and it did not seem at all strange having the wash basin in the room. And the room was kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay. We had dinner in the restaurant the night we arrived and on one other evening, and on both occasions the food was really good, after that we had a couple of lunches, and as for breakfast it was a really refreshing change not to have to battle it out at a buffet. There was a really good a la carte selection for breakfast and all beautifully presented. As for the staff, they all made you feel really welcome and that it was their pleasure to serve you and they could not have been more helpful, which enhanced the whole experience of staying there.
