Quaint comfortable hotel with all facilities

Feb 23rd, 2020

The hotel is in the NE corner of the Melbourne CBD. It is within a 1900s building so all the ceilings are very high and the floors rough timber giving it a different nostalgic feel. The rooms are quite large and well equipped. The restaurant was good for breakfast and dinner, and there is a pleasant little bar. Staff were very helpful. There is no on street parking in front of the hotel, so you need to be nimble getting in and out of cabs. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Staff

Feb 17th, 2020

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights we had booked direct , from the moment we walked in the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful and we encountered several over the 3 days . The small restaurant was reasonable and the breakfast which we had included in the rate was great ( I recommend you take this option as anything from the a la carte is available ) The room was large a bit quirky with two TV’s and was quiet BUT it had no natural daylight and if you felt at all claustrophobic this could be a consideration and was the only down comment I would make . It is VERY easy to walk to downtown , the free tram is right outside the hotel and just 3 stops to Flinders Street station . Thoroughly enjoyable stay TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Weekend in Melbourne

Feb 11th, 2020

We detoured to Melbourne to catch some culture after an overseas trip before heading home to Sydney. We were very pleased to find that our room was available when we arrived at 8am and we used it immediately to catch up some jet lag induced sleep deprivation. We were very grateful, even though we knowingly compromised on the location and view from the room. To be offered the room at that time in teh morning was a real relief that we did not expect. A gem in a great location

Feb 11th, 2020

I love this hotel. It's very stylish and in a great location. Walking distance into the centre of town and loads of cafes and restaurants nearby. If you don't want to walk, the free city circle tram stops right outside the hotel. Our room was lovely and the staff are delightful. Everyone we dealt with was so helpful and friendly so I would definitely return and recommend it as a great base to explore Melbourne. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good location

Feb 6th, 2020

This boutique Hotel is located within walking distance of Rod Laver Arena , which makes it easy for us to get to to the Australian Tennis Open. Check in and check out was fast, friendly and painless. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful , which makes our stay so much more pleasant. There are also cold drinks and apples available at the reception while we were there. We stayed in a classic queen room, facing a tall concrete wall. It is clean, decent size, with the usual amenities like kettle , mini fridge, slippers, bathrobes, etc. the T2 tea and cookies are a nice touch , and appreciated. Housekeeping does a good job generally except for the very long black hair found on the duvet cover on the second day. Overall the hotel has a nice vibe ( perhaps need a bit of brightening up). We would stay here again despite the scary long black hair on the duvet cover. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
