Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo

Built in 1886 and modernized in 2004, the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo offers 125 light-filled rooms and suites adorned in luxe materials and rich colors. Carrara marble bathrooms feature tubs or showers (or both), and some larger guest rooms provide separate living and sleeping quarters. Recent guests were very impressed with the on-site Spa Metropole by Givenchy, which has 10 treatment rooms, a private hammam and a unique multisensory "heat experience" package involving a sauna and ice fountain. When hunger strikes, visitors can choose between the Mediterranean-inspired Joël Robuchon Restaurant, sushi at Yoshi, casual Mediterranean fare at the poolside Odyssey restaurant (designed by Karl Lagerfeld and reserved exclusively for hotel guests during lunch hours) or the lobby bar for laid-back drinks and meals. Just note: Despite the abundance of dining options, some recent guests were not impressed with the food quality or service.
