A nice surprise

Aug 18th, 2019

Visited at the end of July. Family of 5 in one big room. 4single beds, 2 to make a double, 2 singles for boys and a cot. Still enough space for the little ones to chase each other around. Very clean. Maybe if they splash some new paint and deco it should pass for 5star- a bit dated. Housekeeping daily and towels changed daily. Hairdryer in the bathroom. Lots of storage/wardrobes . 10euro for safe/week, no iron, no coffee making facilities in the room. We went all inclusive, good selection of food but pool bar snacks could be better. Hot dogs or chips should be really included. There was pizza but not for all inclusive at the pool bar, crispy, nuts, drinks and ice lollies. Very friendly staff. My son hurt his knee around the pool and he was given first aid disinfectant and bandage by the first aid staff. The entertainment team for kids and swimming fun is great, a lady called Alicia is amazing. She runs the kids club too, very good with the kids even during evening kids entertainment. In overall the evening entertainment by different acts on different nights is okaysh it could be better. 4-5 minutes walk to the beach but uphill coming back phew! In 38 degrees 😅 3pools including a kiddies one. Always available sunbeds. Shops near the beach. We bought snacks for our room ,supermarket a bit pricey but hey ho! Beautiful area ,beautiful hotel ,kind smiley staff. I would definitely return to this hotel in a heartbeat. Most of all my kids had fun with their new friends. We were on the 1first floor no noise at all at night. Air conditioning in the room. All rooms have a sea view and a balcony. Sandy sea with beautiful waves. Brilliant holiday TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great hotel, lovely staff!

Aug 18th, 2019

Stayed at Hotel Torreblanca for a great 2 weeks holiday. Arrived late on the saturday night to an easy check in and a meal was waiting for us in the restuarant. Rooms were very clean and spacious and we had a sea view. Bed linen was crisp, fresh and clean. Towels were changed daily. Thanks to the maid for keeping our room clean (room 606). Food was good with plenty of choice. Pool areas were lovely with entertainment at the pool nearest the hotel. Ivan and Alicia were great with their aquafit and water polo! Didnt see much of the evening entertainment, but the magician was quite amusing! I think a disco night may be a good idea so you could get up and dance! Lastly l would like to mention Gloria from reception, nothing was too much trouble for her, very helpful and we had a good laugh with her. Will definately be revisiting Hotel Torreblanca again xx TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Ok, not great.

I’ll section the review, we have just returned from a week here half board. Airport/transfers- took about 20 mins in private transfer airport was very quick process and everything started great. Hotel - Hotel itself was clean / room was cleaned daily, rooms could do with a bit of an update but always spotless and the air con worked perfectly! staff friendly enough - if you go half board expect to pay a a bit for drinks in the hotel! Prices in Spain are just not the same anymore, paying €2.50 for a little cup of watered down coke cola. - also if you need to use the lift this gets crazy at breakfast and dinner times, we were waiting 20 mins one day. If you are going with a baby they don’t have kettles or microwaves etc in the rooms but we were fine bringing a travel kettle and reception were helpful at letting us know where we could rent these items from :) Entertainment- kids disco starts at 9:45pm until 10pm, then at 10pm some show or live music for 1 hour, quite late for young children but we saw the magic show and our 7 year old enjoyed it. Through the day they have aqua aerobics and water polo, this is ok for the older ones. Pool area - people were queuing from about 9am for a bed, they don’t open the pool area until 10 so did see some people running for beds, however if you got a bed which everyone that queued did seem to it was a nice area, garden area was clean and pool was never really over crowded, however - this is not a gripe at the hotel but a lot of parents would leave children aged around 4-6 in the baby pool causing havoc near the tiny babies whilst they were sunning it up which was a bit annoying but that’s not the hotels fault. Food - well this was a let down completely as we have stayed in a 2 star in Tenerife before (without kids) and the food was so much better! - we are not snobby and we aren’t fussy but I struggle to understand how people can give positive reviews on the food, if you ask me this was the biggest let down, there were a very small variety amounts on offer, and the quality was not good at all, even the lasagne (pasta dishes) were bland, cold and just tasted like mush.. I know it’s typical for an AI hotel to not be fantastic with the food but we chose to eat out a lot of the time because it just was not great, I’d suggest maybe getting a few more options or just increasing the quality of the food used. Local area - very nice, nice location for nice evening walks and lots of local bars and restaurants. All in all, the hotel is a good place to stay and for the pool area but wouldn’t go all inclusive. :) TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Honest review

Just back from a week spent here. Hotel is lovely not a 4 star but a nice place. 3 pools and access isn't until 10am so no mad queues. We never had a problem getting sun loungers beside the pools any time we went to the pools and we didn't leave towels to keep them. We only did b&b so cant talk about meals except breakfast was grand. The lifts are dreadful. 2 small lifts that cant cope with the amount of people wanting to use them. There is a train station directly behind the hotel, its electric so you dont hear it at all and it's great for going around costa del sol for a few euro, would highly recommend. There is a side gate that cuts of the hill walk a bit back and forth from the hotel, you need your room key to open from the outside. Evening entertainment was ok, the magician was awesome kids loved it. Kids club was ok but kids must know where you will be as free to leave when they want. Staff all nice. Hotel clean but cleaning still being done at 830 am and they are not impressed when walk on floors they are cleaning. Rooms are big enough and nice balcony with table and chairs. Air conditioning was brilliant had to turn it off one night as I woke up freezing lol. All in all it's a good wee hotel in a lovely spot. I would definitely go back and stay again.
