WHAT A GORGEOUS HOTEL

Oct 19th, 2020

The property is stunning with the old style luxurious decoration. The staff is polite and helpful exactly as i would expect of a 5 star luxury hotel staff. The rooms are spacious, clean and well heated. The most amazing room is of course the Kremin view room. Mind Blowing! Superb view. The breakfast room has also a wonderful Kremlin view and the breakfast is well presented and has a variety of choices. The hotel location is the best I could imagine. We never had to use a car or the metro. Every major site is within walking distance. The Dr. zivago restaurant is a must visit. We had a delicious dinner. Is super popular from day to night. The Beluga brasserie is also worth visiting for a chaviar degustation. A superb dinner time. I wish I will visit Moscow again soon and I know where to stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Historic hotel with stunning views

Aug 16th, 2020

Last time I stayed in Moscow I was at the Metropol. I wanted to try another hotel this time, again one with history. The Nacional is an amazing hotel. The views from the breakfast room, looking out to the Kremlin, are beautiful and breakfast is perfect. The little spa on the upper floor is a treat and was quite quiet. I had the place to myself for some time. My double king room was spacious and well appointed. The ground floor bar - Alexandrovsky - lacks atmosphere. The drinks and food were fine, expensive of course but fine. The Dr Zhivago restaurant has superb reviews but wasn’t something I wanted to try. A note about the female concierge who managed to get me to the station on time for my Trans-Siberian train, despite my tardiness in booking transport. She was a marvel and I was so grateful. In the UK you expect to walk outs and flag a taxi. Not so in Moscow! A lesson learned. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful

Great location, Red Square, right across the Kremlin. Amazing concierge. Decent caviar and champagne for breakfast, if you're willing to go "Russian". Lobby is perfect, room furniture a bit dated. Loved it, but I love Moscow. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Enjoyed our stay

Mar 9th, 2020

Really loved staying here. The hotel is gorgeous, staff were really friendly and accommodated our request for an early check-in. Our room was big and comfortable. The breakfast had a large amount of choice with amazing views looking out at Red Square. I would absolutely recommend this hotel. We decided to splash out more than we usualyl would and this hotel didn't disappoint at all. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Best location possible

Feb 14th, 2020

The Hotel National does not offer the luxury and high end service of its next door neighbours Four Seasons and Ritz-Carlton. But if offers the ultimate luxury - A room with a view. Kremlin facing rooms look directly into Red Square, St Basil's and Kremlin walls, so you can take postcard perfect photos from the confort of your room (specially in winter). And for half the price you would pay in the aforementioned hotels. Rooms are large, floors heated and beds very welcoming. Breakfast was nothing out of ordinary but very well presented and staff quite friendly. Walking distance from many sights and right in front of the metro station. The National is the perfect spot for a first visit to Moscow! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
