This hotel includes a glass-enclosed indoor lap pool
The property charges a daily resort fee
At first glance, this boutique hotel near Union Square may seem more geared toward business travelers – the hotel lobby, with its wall-to-wall marble covering and sparse furnishings, exudes a more serious aura. But the guest rooms have a softer side, with a soothing blue and white color palette and expansive windows offering views of downtown San Francisco. Though they do contain large work spaces, accommodations here also cater to those simply looking to kick back and relax, with iPod docking stations, flat-screen TVs and pillow-top beds. Guests describe the digs as comfortable, but some lament the fact that there is a daily resort fee of $33. Despite this, many guests agree that the hotel's central location in the city is truly unbeatable. And though guests are within walking distance of numerous neighborhood eateries, those looking to try California cuisine with a hint of Asian flavor can grab a bite in the on-site Restaurant ANZU. Members of the I Prefer program can offset costs by cashing in points here.

Critic Reviews

From the marble lobby to the sleek Feinstein's jazz lounge, Hotel Nikko maintains its role as one of the most elegant properties in Union Square. Appealing to both families with pets and business travelers, expect of-the-moment technological amenities, fine dining, and a state-of-the art fitness center with a glass-enclosed pool.

With its high-ceilinged, sparkling marble lobby, fully renovated in early 2017, Hotel Nikko proffers an image of contemporary, Zen-style luxury. One exception to the serene setting is the Kanpai bar, which looks like something out of Alice in Wonderland with checkerboard bar seating and very large plush chairs.

For in-house entertainment, guests can dine and be dazzled in the luxe Feinstein's, an elegant nightclub that hosts a wide variety of some of the most entertaining performers.
