Good hotel if you need the location - noisy

Aug 19th, 2020

Hotel staff were friendly and efficient. Hotel is clean and modern with spacious rooms and located centrally so it is easy to access the beach or nearby town. However, it is located next to a 6 lane major road and, unfortunately, the patio doors do little to block out the noise. You also wouldn't use the balcony because of this. The road is particularly noisy at night when it is a little clearer and drivers clearly hit triple figures racing past. Lovely hotel, shame about the road. If the noise doesn't bother you then would highly recommend. The Ark restaurant nearby is a beautiful walk up the beach front where you can see some stunning sunsets. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Brilliant place

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Comfortable walking distance to all shops and bars in a very classy affluent area. Tram on the door step to take you to Athens centre and recommend buying cheap 5 day all transport travel for just €8 Staff all really friendly and cannot thank Julie enough for sorting ear plugs out for my son to sleep through my snoring.. haha Christos and Alexandros brilliant barmen in the hotel/pool bar. Best value for money in a beautiful place right next to the beach. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Disgusted the say the least. Do not stay

Aug 9th, 2020

I checked in on the 02/08/20 at room 109, after having spent 8 days at a nearby hotel called Poseidon (which was fantastic). Booking online gave you the option of a free drink, which I took. Upon arrival, the female receptionist told me I can come to the bar that evening for a free glass of wine. I came down that evening (02/08/20), I don’t drink alcohol so asked for a glass of orange juice. The bartender asked me to pay, as my “free drink offer was only available until a certain time”. What was worse was his attitude. Extremely rude, told me “do you expect me to pay for this from my own pocket?” The whole attitude was absolutely disgusting, nowhere near the incredible experiences I’ve had in different hotels. I went to the female receptionist again for advice and I was shocked by the way I was treated. She told me that “i was doing you a favour with the drink anyway, it was a little gift on me, it’s not an option on the website” which was obviously a ridiculous lie, as we booked that on the website and I even have the online receipt for it. The day I checked out, the hotel manager asked me about my stay so I decided to tell him what happened. He was polite and understanding, however, my stay there had been ruined. Absolutely shocked and disgusted. Your staff members can ruin someone’s stay and holiday, and I would recommend appropriate training or replacing them. I’ve stayed in some amazing hotels In my life, and this was one of the worst ones. I would not return, even if it was my last option TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great place to base yourself for Athens and surroundings...

Nov 8th, 2019

My partner and and I stayed here last week and we absolutely loved it. The hotel is well-appointed, well-positioned and has some of the loveliest and the friendliest staff we've ever come across. In terms of it being well-appointed, the facilities are excellent, simply nothing to fault. In terms of position, it's so well placed, it's a very short walk to the beach, to the excellent tram service which takes you along the coast and, if you make the simple switch to the metro, to Central Athens or Piraeus and to the restaurants and shops of Glyfada. There's even a bus stop right outside so you're very close to a cheap and convenient way to get to or from the airport (X96, €6 each way). And as far as the staff are concerned, they really are lovely. From the minute we checked in, we were helped with information and maps (by Ilias), we went for a room upgrade and it was easily sorted (by Chris). Evangelina who looked after our room and the absolutely lovely lad who served at breakfast (we aren't sure of his name) couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. I know people can have different experiences but we can only speak of ours and it was fantastic. If you want to see Glyfada or use it as a base to visit some of the Argo-Saronic islands (we visited Aegina and Poros) this hotel is ideal. It's also ideal if, like us, you wanted to be close to see Athens but far enough removed that you get some peace in the evenings! We had a nice glimpse of the sea from our balcony as well 😊 TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
