Still the Best!!!

Feb 16th, 2020

We revisited the Hotel Parq Central this weekend and I am happy to say that nothing has changed! After several years since our 1st stay, this lovely hotel is still beautifully maintained, managed and accommodating. The rooms are decorated in comfortable yet chic style with a imaginative nod to the building's interesting past as a hospital. This in NOT a cookie cutter hotel and everything about it from the pleasant and helpful front desk staff to the cozy robes tells of the unique experience and the pride of local ownership! The hotel is also very convenient to some of the best restaurants in Albuquerque and events in the downtown or Nob Hill area. A lovely gem in the heart of New Mexico! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Quick Overnight Trip

Feb 10th, 2020

I chose this hotel because it was close to the hospital and I had a procedure in the morning. The staff was fantastic, the rooms were cozy and the morning coffee and breakfast was great. I had a great night sleep. I will definitely stay again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fine hotel near UNM, on old US 66

Feb 9th, 2020

The Hotel Parq Central is an older hotel, quite distinguished looking on the outside, that has been modernized thoroughly on the inside -- unfortunately, perhaps modernized more than it should have been, into a generic modern hotel style. But the rooms though small are quite nice. The hotel is quiet (despite its proximity to I-25 and to Central Ave -- US 66). The staff were very helpful. There is good (and varied) food within walking distance. Parking is easy, on premises. We stayed here before a flight from ABQ at 8AM -- it is an easy Uber/Cab to the airport. (It is more interesting, better located in the city, and just as easy to get to the airport as are the chains near the airport.) One reviewer complained of a $289/night room -- but not for us in February: I think (my wife paid) we were around $180. Of particular note was the bar, on the top floor. An excellent bartender. Good bar snacks (you could eat your supper here). Small but really good selection of brands -- I love Islay single-malt scotch, but had never even heard of Port Charlotte single malt :-( It was delicious. Also interesting proprietary cocktails. In any event, go have a drink at the bar -- good views from the windows, too. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

One Night Stay

Feb 6th, 2020

The room and the hotel were very nice. Clean and nice decor. The staff were initially nice. However, it was very cold and the couldn't seem to get the heat working. We had already unpacked and settled in and didn't want to change rooms. You can't set the heat in your room. They have a master heat but it wasn't really working that well. The seemed to have a problem on that floor. We asked for a space heater but they didn't have one. I called to ask for a little discount and was told the manager wasn't there but they would leave a note for the manager in the morning The refrigerator hum was so loud we couldn't sleep. I finally just unplugged it. When I checked out in the morning, I asked about the discount or the manager and was told there was no note left. The front desk person, asked me to hold on while she went to get the manager. I waited about five minutes until the girl came out to tell me the manager would be out in a few minutes. I didn't have a few minutes so I left. I wouldn't go back TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Wonderful charming hotel with great service

Jan 21st, 2020

I have stayed here several times as the half way mark from Dallas to California, each time has been a pleasure! They are always extremely accommodating and thoughtful, including providing treats for my dogs upon check in :). It is close to the highway so very convenient, the rooms are PERFECT, and the grounds are beautiful and back up to a lovely park. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here! The only thing I would ask for them to change is to put coffee makers in the room! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
