Just Blah. Not worth it!

I stayed here for my 19th anniversary. The hotel looks worn and a little cheesy for being a Hilton Curio collection. I was disappointed. Shower did not drain. Furniture was dusty and seemingly dingy. No refresh of towels. Checkin was blah. Sheets was dingy, stained, and worn. Granted the city and everything around the property was pretty quiet due to effects of COVID-19. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The website suggested a quaint hotel with lots of character. Although the lobby is nice the hotel is sorely lacking in many other areas. The room was dirty, there were sticky stains on the tables There is no vending, no access to any drinks or breakfast There is no parking. The room has no fridge There is no room service and the restaurant would not answer the phone for an order to be placed I will never return here TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Room was not clean and housekeeping service terrible
Jul 12th, 2020
My entire visit was horrible. Walking into the 1st room I could tell HK doesn’t dust, the chair under the desk was dusty. Hair shredding in bed & shower!! There were dried boogers by the toilet paper holder! As I’m leaving the lobby I hear another guest state to Ryan at the front desk “there were toenails on the carpet, it looked like housekeeping didn’t vacuum” . The second night there was a bug when my children woke up, you would think during COVID-19 housekeeping and all it’s staff would be more precaution. I will not, nor will I be recommending anyone to this location! Horrible horrible experience! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I stayed at the Hotel Phillips three years ago for the NCAA Volleyball national tournament and had an excellent experience. I stayed there again with my family last week and had a mediocre experience at best. When I arrived for check-in, I parked out in front where it said "Valet" but nobody was out there. We brought our suitcases into the lobby and there were three people behind the desk. Nobody asked if they could have someone park our car or assist with getting suitcases out of our car. Usually they acknowledge your being a Hilton Diamond member but that was really no big deal...just something I noticed. The room was quite dusty and the toilet had clearly not been cleaned in weeks. It had the water stains from not being flushed, etc. I didn't complain about that because I figure nobody has touched the room because of COVID-19. That night, though, the air conditioner made noise throughout the night and leaked water all over the carpet. It was a very hot and uncomfortable night. When I checked out, I was asked how my stay was. I told him that I was kept up all night by the air conditioner and told him about the wet carpet. He said "Oh, you should have called us so maintenance could have fixed it or move you to another room." i explained that the kids were in bed asleep and it was like 2 in the morning...not exactly a time when you want to have maintenance come trouble-shoot your A/C. There was not attempt made at guest service recovery. Highly disappointed. There are a number of options downtown, including a newer Marriott just down the street. I will probably try that next time. Dirty and not well-maintained
May 18th, 2020
I really wanted to like this hotel. Classic historic property, relatively recently redone in a very stylish, current way. But not well maintained. Some of the furnishings in the room need refreshing. Starting to show major wear and tear. And just dirty. Stains on the walls, stains on the furniture, food and trash scattered in the elevator, hallway, dirty mirror, shower curtain discolored... I could go on, but I won’t. Lots of potential. We were very disappointed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
