It was as a lovely personal upmarket resort for our honeymoon.we had a room with the balcony overlooking the ocean. We enjoyed the outdoor shower. Breakfast was great. we ate once at the restaurant but preferred going out trying different places. shuttle good. pool amazing. tried the spa and massage which was really lovely. Incredible views

Oct 21st, 2019

Amalfi Coast is beautiful and there is no point in visiting if you are going to stay somewhere without a view of it. As soon as we pulled into the car park, the views took my breath away. On one side is Positano and on the other is Praiano. Entering the hotel the views got even better, there is a beautiful terrace where we were treated with a drink! Great views at breakfast too. Our room boasted a balcony with a view or Praiano, we fell asleep to the sound of the sea which was amazing. We had breakfast in our room on the first day which was amazing. Then the next day we ate on the restaurant terrace which was just as magical! There is a shuttle service each hour from the hotel to Positano, didn’t even take 15 minutes it is pretty close! This was so handy and saved us loads of money on taxis. This is a great hotel and was more relaxing than staying in Positano itself, it was also more affordable AND the parking is very helpful! Beautiful and Peaceful Oasis on the Amalfi Coast

Oct 14th, 2019

We recently(October 2019) spent 5 days and 4 nights at the Piccolo Sant’ Andrea and could not have been more pleased. The staff was helpful and welcoming but not overweening. The food was consistently good (we had breakfast there every day, and both lunch and dinner at least twice). The facilities were well maintained - we used both the indoor and outdoor pools and were quite happy with them. The room was great and the bed super comfortable- we got a deluxe room with sea view so we had a decent size terrace with seating and incredible views of the Mediterranean. The best part of the hotel was the ever present feeling of peacefulness and relation that the hotel exudes - particularly welcome after a day filled with sightseeing along the frenetic Coast and driving its winding roads. We look forward to returning. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Severely overrated. Hugely disappointing, patchy and unfriendly service - poor for this price point and not recommended

Oct 6th, 2019

Pros: Property's location at Praiano was good - near enough to all of the main towns by self-drive, and the property also has a regular shuttle service to Positano. Nice indoor pool for inclement weather. Cons: We thought the property was severely overrated. We have stayed at many wonderful luxury properties across the globe before and the service level we received here was not up to scratch. This hotel felt more like a very expensive family-run B&B, than a luxury spa hotel as it advertises itself, and does not deserve its expensive price point. Facilities-wise - (i) cleanliness of the room could be improved, and lots of mosquito marks on the walls (ii) bottled water and tissues in the toilet were not refilled despite being empty for two nights (iii) room and balcony area were looking tired and old (iv) shower in the room was not well designed and it was hard to bathe without getting the whole toilet wet and messy. Outdoor shower was old and too open. (v) Outdoor pool was too small and can get crowded. More importantly, service was not good - (i) reception service was poor. On check-in, the shuttle service and timings were not mentioned/explained to us at all, and when we approached the staff on the second afternoon to check on the timings, we were immediately told the next shuttle service was already full and we should have booked much earlier. In the first place, we were not asking to be put on the next available shuttle, but a later one, so this attitude shown to us was undeserved (ii) On check-out, the reception staff was very unfriendly and cold, and we were not made to feel like our custom was appreciated (just a very perfunctory "did you have a good stay" without looking at us or with a smile) (iii) Although we were told the pool opened at 10am on check-in, we had not used it until the last morning (by which time we had forgotten about the timing). We approached the staff at 930am, and we assumed the owner was the one who asked the lifeguard to open it for us. This he did, but not before showing me poor condescending attitude by saying that I should have known the opening was 10am and he was doing us a huge favour. All he had to do was release the chain cordoning off the pool area, and he was nowhere to be seen after that. Hugely poor attitude shown. Also, we were never asked if we wanted drinks or towels while at the pool - was this not part of the service? (iv) Breakfast service was inconsistent - on some mornings we were asked if we wanted to order eggs, on others, not. Overall - service levels are definitely not up to international luxury hotel standards, especially not for this price point. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Jewel in the crown of Amalfi coast

Oct 3rd, 2019

Spent a long weekend at this beautiful hotel set on the stunning cliffs between Positano and Praiano. Hotel staff were very welcoming and attentive and our room and the hotel facilities were fantastic. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
