Lovely hotel in a great location

Nov 1st, 2020

Very comfortable hotel, lovely big room. Great location - less then five minutes walk from the duomo - but on a quiet enough street. Friendly staff and good value. Good breakfast - which had to be ordered the night before and a time=slot booked to comply with covid guidelines. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely hotel

Oct 22nd, 2020

We visited this lovely hotel in October, we stayed 4 nights, the location is perfect, the room is beautiful, with a lovely view and a huge bathroom. Anna-Maria and Leonardo on reception are very attentive and friendly. The room was very large and so quiet, you can see the market stalls that sell leather goods from the window, lots of lovely shops and restaurants just outside, and a 2 minute walk to beautiful Duomo. You can hear the palace bells from the hotel room, such a wonderful sound. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Location was the only good thing

Sep 12th, 2020

Staff were friendly, place was clean, but a lot of minus points. Our room was tiny & dark. The only window looked onto a ventilation shaft. Although it was almost empty, we were not allowed an upgrade unless we paid a lot of money. Bathroom was unventilated. I expected dressing gowns, slippers, coffee making facilities for a supposedly 4* hotel. The breakfast was the worst I have ever had. Order in advance - OK because of Covid, but the selection was abysmal. Nasty wet ham (like supermarkets' cheapo), spam-like mortadella, tasteless cheese. Bread rolls that could break your teeth, or a measly single slice of toast. Covid is no excuse for poor quality food. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing location

Mar 7th, 2020

We chose the Hotel Pierre because it was within walking distance of the station and all the main sites eg Uffizi, Accademia, Pitti Palace, Santa Croce etc. It was also near many restaurants so we found it easy to find places for our evening meal. The breakfast is available on the fourth floor and is a substantial buffet of cereal, fruit, bread, cheese , cold meats etc. The waitress makes fresh cappucchino to order. There is a charge for cooked breakfast but it is not neccessary when there are so many other foods available. The reception staff were welcoming and very helpful - printing out our boarding passes and looking after our luggage on the final day. Our rooms were interconnecting which suited us as a party of ladies from the same family. Our rooms were comfortable and very quiet. We would definitely return to this hotel. Our only reservation was the lack of tea making facilities in the room. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Another memorable stay in Firenze. Brava!

Mar 4th, 2020

Our second time here since 8 years ago and without doubt, a must-stay venue for those coming for the first time. Hidden in a small alley, it is a few steps from Piazza Repubblica and a short 5 min walk to the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery. A small covered square behind the hotel is where artisans set up shop for the day with a whole range of leather goods/trinkets and casual attire. Slightly different from the street merchants around San Lorenzo (about 10 mins walk). Rooms here are super clean, with fresh towels/toiletries replenished daily and the staff are always friendly and welcoming, much like their sister hotel in Rome - Hotel delle Nazioni.
