Awesome stay but no casino :(

Jan 20th, 2021

The hotel was wonderful!! The staff, cleanliness, the food!! I needed a vacation to step away from all the stress, from the city, work and just..life! I was a bit scared to travel due to the pandemic but the hotel really followed all protocols concerning covid safety requirements! I was impressed! The only reason I give it 3 stars is because I really like going to the casinos and the casino here was closed :( I didn't understand why it was closed if they did such a good job keeping everything on point; clean, distanced..everyone had their masks on and everything just felt right. Open up the casino guys, it's time! I REALLY FELT LUCKY but then unlucky the moment I went and the doors were closed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Casino not opened was a downer

Jan 20th, 2021

I spent a beautiful time in this hotel except for the fact that the casino wasn't opened yet and I do understand that it is a delicate situation but c'mon COVID protocols can still be followed at a Casino. I hope next time I come back, it will be opened and I'm planning to come back soon. Will check with the hotel first. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

No casino :(

Dec 30th, 2020

one of our fav holidays of all times.Planned to book it for January, but turns out casino is not working (and its a big part of our vacation). For questions when will it open and if it will open stuff saying they don't know. Very sad. We checked other hotels in Punta Cana and all of them has casinos open. Too bad we will have to go on this vacation to another hotel company. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice holiday.. not much to fault if you want to purely chill out

May 29th, 2020

My partner and I went to this resort last year for 2 weeks. We are late 20's, we had a great room.. it was top floor at the corner with a lot of balcony space and you could see the ocean just slightly. The room was nothing special, it was clean and the maids done a great job every day. Food - buffet was really good as there is a huge variety. We ate at the fusion restaurant which was also nice. It has sea views which was quite romantic. Rest of restaurants were good too! Food was a lot better than we expected. Drinks - were ok. Nothing special. Pools - would be one of my only flaws with the resort.. the bar pool became known as the pee pee pool because people would be in their ALL day. So either get there early and move on or don't bother. The main pool was quite dirty, staff came and cleaned each morning but there was a layer of oil and scum on top of the pool. We stopped going in as did many other people. Theres is plenty of sunbeds, never had to go without one. We went on walks around the other resorts and to the little shopping village where you can buy all sorts of stuff. Theres some guys that wander the beach with monkeys and parrots etc if that's your thing you can have a picture or whatever with them. (We didnt) There are a few excursions you can do. Saona island I highly reccomend.. this will make your holiday. It is beautiful.. book it through the guy at the resort not tui and you will save money. Other than that theres isnt much to do, you cant go off resort on your own. The beach was ok, white sand nice water. Wasnt very clear but I think it depends on when you go as it was a tad rough when we went. The staff on resort are phenomenal, they cannot do enough for you and are super super helpful. I have a nut allergy and they literally went above and beyond to facilitate. All in all it was a nice holiday, very hot, nice people (mainly older than us) but not a lot going on. Great if you want a purely relaxing hols! But we like to have more options :) TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
