Lovely Week

Sep 21st, 2019

Without a doubt the biggest asset for this hotel is it’s team of staff , every single staff member is polite helpful and friendly. This was our 3rd stay at this hotel, the rooms are basic, not overly comfortable beds, dressing gowns and towels are very very worn but these are the only downsides. The restaurant runs like clockwork with David and the team seamlessly running both buffet breakfast and evening meals providing very good quality food served by several chef’s at serving stations. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean, the pool area is immaculate with pool towels readily available. Evening entertainment isn’t our thing but each night a band or a singer performs on the open air or indoor stages. The infinity pool is nice to cool off in and look out over the ocean. We have already booked for next year and can’t wait to return. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

5 Stars

Sep 19th, 2019

It takes a lot to get 5 stars from me but besides the amazing setting, food, (best buffet I have ever had), location, pools, peaceful areas, the staff are truly very efficient and genuinely extremely pleasant. No continuous thumping pool music. Note to other hotels. Why do that ?? And no we are not old fuddy duddies. We like our music be it trance, rock, classical or middle of the road. I won’t repeat the superlatives that many people have referred to but would add that this is the second time we have stayed here and can’t wait to return. Can’t say that about many hotels. We have stayed in lots and lots of hotels in the Canaries but this has been by far the best. I can not find fault at all with the hotel. I really can’t. Properly trained staff, a Maitre D’ on at all times. Staff take great pride in what they do and how they do it. How often can one say that? Please keep up the excellent standards. Would I recommend? You are kidding me. Absolutely 100% TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely hotel in a lovely resort

Sep 19th, 2019

This was our first time to this hotel and really enjoyed our holiday there. Hotel modern and clean. Staff always have a smile and we never found a grumpy one. Food is good although it is on a weekly cycle and became a little repetitive. It was nice that we could eat at the two al a carte restaurants each week of our stay. We normally stay at adult only hotels and although there were children here it wasn’t s problem. Hotel is at the far end of Adeje but there is a nice walk along the front to the centre. Our only criticism is that on our last day we used a courtesy room which had no window and no air conditioning. We had to get out of the room as quickly as possible as the sweat was dripping off us. We would look at having a late checkout next time. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful hotel with lovely views, a few things to ameloriate

Sep 15th, 2019

Beautiful refurbished hotel in a quiet location, lovely views. Friendly staff and great service. Spacious rooms and comfy beds (for once, I didn't find the beds too firm in a hotel!). The rooms were clean but they could be a bit cleaner in more hidden areas (such as under the sinks). Also, some towels and bed sheets had stains, but nothing alarming. Buffet food was excellent. There's the possibility to eat at two à la carte restaurants (without additional fees), which were very good too. Very much appreciated the swift and secured wifi connection. The main reason why I don't give 5 stars is because the hotel's policy on sunbed reservation is terrible (or just absent). While you can always find a sunbed, front rows are reserved as early as 6am and we've seen couples reserving 4 sunbeds (for 2 people). Sometimes people don't show up until the afternoon and stay for one hour. We've also seen people reserving tables on the terrace at breakfast! The terrace of the restaurant is lovely but they should have a sun protection over the outer tables, especially at dinner. We also found it a little disappointing that the hotel does not offer a credit if you're on half-board and decide to have dinner outside. Finally, we requested a quiet room and we were allocated a room on the third floor. Given that the restaurant and bar are on the sixth floor, that made sense. However, the room was in the wing under the bar, meaning that we heard loud music until 11pm (on the plus side, the music never went on later than 11pm). There's no carpet floor in the hotel, so it's quite noisy as you can hear people walking (some people are very inconsiderate and walk about their rooms wearing heels!) and transporting luggage on the floors. Super relaxing holiday

Sep 8th, 2019

My husband and I and two of our adult children spent a super week at the Riu Palace. Rooms were nice and clean and all staff couldn’t be more helpful. The lovely surprise of champagne and fruit in the rooms and generally a very relaxed hotel - no issues with people putting towels on loungers and always very helpful and kind approach of all the staff. Our children especially enjoyed the pool service which was great. We all had a great holiday. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
