A very central hotel

Jun 29th, 2019

It has a very good location at downtown, few minutes walk to shops, restaurants and Pike Place Market. There is a Starbucks next to the hotel. Unfortunately there is no wifi at rooms and hotel's restaurant (next to it) does not serve dinner everyday. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Inexpensive and you get what you paid for, almost

The hotel is perfectly located a block plus from the Link and near good restaurants. It is convenient to the train station as well. The hotel; however, leaves much to be desired. The TV in the room did not work and the front desk’s only response was that leave it on and it might start working. The sheet was so thin that you could feel the blanket through it. The restaurant allegedly opens at 6 a.m. but don’t count on it and don’t count on friendly, reasonably quick service. When I later described my disappointment to the manager, the response was truly a non response. The price was reasonable but for it, don’t expect much. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Bad review!

May 29th, 2019

I don't even know where to start! Was the dirtiest place I have stayed in in over 30 years..and wasn't even that cheap! Had to change room 2 times for a total of 3 rooms none of which had a toilet paper holder, all broken off. Wallpaper falling down, linens that looked dirty (I slept in my street clothes!), backed up sewage in one of the bathtubs, broken lock on room door, broken lamps in rooms, dirty disgusting chairs in rooms and lobby and then we were on the 10th floor and the elevator went out!! We sat in the lobby on dirty looking chairs for an 1 1/2 hours waiting for that to be fixed. Sounded like that occurred regularly! Just FYI, pictures they have up don't show the filthy carpet and rooms in general. I am all about ambiance, but not filth! Almost moved to the Westin which was $20.00 cheaper, but had a group of us! And don't even think about asking for a refund....not going to happen! Do not know how this place continues to get booked at almost 200.00 a night!?!? I wish I had taken more pictures to share on this review! Disgusting! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Do not expect much.

Wanted to find an inexpensive hotel for a day after getting off of a cruise and flying out of Seattle early the next morning. I found that Hotel Seattle was located downtown Seattle to have an opportunity to visit the shops at the water front piers. The front desk person was very nice to hold our luggage early before we could officially check in, and he was very helpful answering my questions. The cleaning lady was very nice and cheerful and I am sure she did the best she could. The hotel itself is very old and not kept up well. The sign outside the entrance had many letters missing and it looked like for quite a while. The door was noisy, you have to lug your bags up six stairs to get into the lobby, the carpet was dingy and all the furniture was very old. Once in the room the bathroom tile floor had paint and all kinds of stains on it, the shower wall had a hole in it, and the base boards had gaps between them and the wall. The queen bed was comfortable with old worn sheets, and it is just an old not very well kept up place. It did serve our need for less than 24 hours there. You get what you pay for in Seattle. Worst hotel experience ever

Apr 3rd, 2019

How could I forget to write a review? During my stay, not only was there mold and health concerns with the room, bathroom, elevator and lobby, but there was a massive piece of ceiling tile that fell on my head in the bathroom, injuring me and knocking me down. I brought the massive piece down in the morning to the front desk and advised what had happened and they didn't even apologize or care. They got mad at me for bringing the piece down to show them! This is unacceptable. I have emailed, called, contacted the BBB and Transient Accommodations to even get a proper apology - not just an eye roll from the manager, and compensation as I had to cancel the rest of my trip to the states and return home due to a headache from the hit on the head. They should fix the bathroom and have a building, property & health inspection in all rooms, as this hotel isn't even safe for the public. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
