Great Value Boutique Hotel

Mar 30th, 2017

We have been to Ixtapa several times and have tended to stay at the big resorts. This was a last minute trip and didn't really care where we stayed as long as we had a place to sleep. We got our room for an excellent price on Hotwire. This hotel is located right on Ixtapa Blvd. The location is great. Easy access to the beach (we were granted permission to use the Emporio's pool and beach-you can buy drinks from their pool bar or waiters) or you can walk down to the public entrance of the beach. I prefer the access that is on the north side by Delfini. There is a super fun bar there called Rock Arena, live music every night, but Sunday's. Hotel Suites Ixtapa is in the heart of the little city, so you have many options for dining. Bars stay open late and you will hear noise, but it didn't bother my husband or I at all. Plus, we tend to stay out late, so the late night music thumping never bothered us. The rooms are modest, but they are SUPER CLEAN! The air conditioner worked great. The TV had many channels available, most stations are in Spanish, but there are at least 6 in English. Besides, you're not in Mexico to watch TV. The pool is cute, clean, and basically pretty awesome. We spent several afternoons at the rooftop pool. There were only a couple of days that anyone else even ever came to swim. We brought our own drinks and music and had a great time. No, you don't get a swim-up bar, but you also don't get a ton of kids hanging out at that swim-up bar screaming and splashing (the usual case for the swim-up pool bars in Ixtapa). The downfall of this hotel is that it is on the second floor of the building. There is a small elevator that I did see an elderly couple using, but we never even tried to use it. We are fine taking the stairs, but this hotel would not be the most handicapped friendly. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. Wonderful employees, as usually is the case in Mexico. We would stay again!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not a place to sleep

Jan 1st, 2017

Loud party music every night. It was centrally located but surrounded with beer gardens where the party music was coming from. The temperature in Ixtapa was always above 85 degrees F, the hotel has no ice. I have a heart problem so it was difficult to carry my luggage to the second floor. This hotel has no elevators. No sleep

Dec 23rd, 2016

If you come to Ixtapa to party's most of the night, this hotel is fine. Clean, modest rooms and good sized. But if you want to go to sleep before 3:00 am, don't stay here. The music from nearby clubs sounds like it's on your balcony along with the strobe lights. The front desk does offer ear plugs though Then at 6:00 am I awoke to music of a different sort. I went out to see what that was and the guy working the front desk was playing loud music on his cell phone. Maybe he was trying to stay awake after all night. The hotel is centrally located with good restaurants all around. Quite a hike to get to the beach though. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

not impressed

Nov 8th, 2016

The pictures on the website are not current pictures from the Hotel. The hotel seams a bit run down, and the hotel is located in a pretty busy area. The first night and only night that my family and I stayed there was some sort of festivities going on in one of the restaurants in the area and we barely got any rest due to all the noise.
