Worst service ever

Mar 5th, 2020

We went here for lunch. Menu looked ok. We waited at least 15 mins before asking a waitress if anyone was serving. She went over to another waitress who was just standing around and she finaly came to take our order..2 beers and 2 sandwiches. Another 20 mins later we noticed later arrivals getting served. Finally my partner went in the hotel looking for our waitress. She looked surprised and went to the bar to get our 2 beers which she delivered and then disappeared again. We had to ask another waitress for glasses. Our sandwiches finally appeared after nearly an hours wait. We didnt leave a tip!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Well situated

Good hotel but breakfast is minimal. Hard to get cuban money but rooms clean and balcony on the square is cool even if sometimes a bit loud ! Worth it unless you are filthy rich and can afford luxury hotels on the Prado TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I can recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to visit Havana and Cuba in general. During the time i stayed there the rooms were always clean and fresh. Food was delicious and staff very helpfull and polite. Pity that Cuba is so far away, otherwise i could visit this lovely hotel more often. Go there guys! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Basic...but has a feel of the real Havana.

Stayed here for a week in February 2019 and found the location to be excellent. Very central and we had the corner room with brilliant views of the city. The room was very basic and had limited hot water for showering. I even had to fix the toilet cistern at one point but all in all it was a charming hotel...slightly expensive and you could have got better for the same or slightly more money. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A unique experience

Aug 8th, 2019

This hotel won an award for the renovations that were made a few years ago and they are quite impressive, however, it now seems to be suffering from lack of maintenance. Having said that the rooms were large, well equipped, cool and comfortable and they were incredibly well serviced by the staff. The range of food and drink on offer at breakfast was very wide but as a late riser, some of the cooked range could get a bit cold. There was a large terrace looking out over Central Park, that had a welcome breeze most of the time where you could watch the old cars and enjoy the petrol fumes. I can highly recommend their lemonade. Strangely the hotel only took cash and so we had to go to the hotel next door or the machine down the road to get cash. Did this detract from our holiday? not at all. Would I go back? Most definitely. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
