Romantic Stay

Feb 17th, 2020

Booked this hotel with a massage and dinner for Valentines day with my wife. We were greeted with professionalism immediately. It was nice to have the availability of all the accommodations, such as spa, dinner, bar, roof top views in one place. Definitely a romantic ambiance at the Americano restaurant. My wife loved every minute of it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Old/ not luxury

Feb 13th, 2020

This place looked like a holiday inn express. The room was dark and the “view” was a joke. The beds reminded me of my college dorm room and the bathtub was disgusting. None of us were bathing in that. We paid over $700 for one night and we couldn’t believe they got more than $150. We left and continued our trip at the Four Seasons. This hotel is ripping people off. What a huge disappointment. Looked like 1992 in there. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Might have been luxury in 2006

Feb 12th, 2020

I'm posting this here because they sent me a survey which I took the time to complete, and the site froze when submitting it - which really is an illustration of this hotel. The room was so dark and I asked to be moved to a room with natural light and told it would be $100 a night. Why is natural light an amenity in a hotel that brands itself as luxury? There was long hair left in the bathroom (I'm a guy with short hair). The TV quality is a joke, it must have been the standard 15 years ago. And the speaker by the bed to play music had some sort of bose link that had a cord with broken plug. This hotel is not luxury but you're charging for it. AND they don't even participate in world of hyatt. I lived in this city until recently and had been to the bar and restaurant a lot. The rooms must not have been updated since they opened, the furniture is worn and chipped, and it now looks like an airport hilton. This is not a luxury hotel, so don't pay luxury price for it. Like a spa

Anyone visiting SF (and especially those looking to get away from the craziness in Union Square) should stay at this hotel. It's really 5* accommodation but at 4* price. The hotel and staff are wonderful and the proximity to the Ferry Building really makes this the best hotel in SF for your money. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Horrendous Experience

Feb 4th, 2020

Where do I begin... When I arrived the bellman “grabbed” my bags from the taxi however he left one behind thinking it was the t’axa bag because it was “small” and he thought it was the taxi’s bag. At reception I asked them to check the cameras to see the taxi drivers company and plate number, she couldn’t do so because only the manager can and the manager was doing an “errand” in the hotel. When I asked her to contact him she said he doesn’t have his walkie talkie on him nor his cell phone. I waited in the lobby for 15 minutes till he came and started checking the cameras and checking. Being a luxury hotel you’d expect there to be slippers in the room there were none along with no shower gel. Lastly trying to wash away the frustration I end up being more aggravated when I’m mid shower and the bath is clogged so I’m standing more than ankle deep in dirty water. Not to mention the pizza from room service was the worst pizza Ive had in my life. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
