Great location and price

Our stay was for visiting the towns north of Pittsfield, and we chose this location for ease of access to I90, both routes 7 & 8, and to shopping and eating, without high traffic. This is also very close to Lenox, Stockbridge and Lee. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and kept up each day for us. Being set a little off the road there was no issue with noise. Because of the COVID19 , breakfast is not served at this time, but this is near to coffee shops and restaurants, so no worry. Not bad, but a little pricey for the area

We came to Lenox, MA to enjoy a foliage season. I think it was a Columbus Day weekend, and we paid about $175 per night (including taxes). I think the price was a little high for this hotel. The hotel is basic. The breakfast area is very small and very crowded in the morning. I wish I found a cheaper accommodation. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
A Lot Of Bang For Your Buck!

This place was incredible for the price. The room I stayed in was very good size and was absolutely spotless! The young lady at the front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable. She told me if there was anything I needed , don't hesitate to ask. When I stay at any hotel,the first thing I do is check out the bathroom . I figure it this way, if the bathroom is exceptionally clean then the rest of the room will be,too. I've stayed in some hotels where the bathrooms only received a cursory cleaning at best.The bathroom in this property absolutely sparkled,literally!! The housekeeping staff do a phenomenal job and I made it a point to tip them well for their hard work and dedication. They serve a continental breakfast here , but I left for an early event in upstate New York so I didn't get to try it out. (Although I'm sure it was very good!) I am making this hotel my go-to place any time I am in the area. I can't wait to stay here again this spring and summer! I would recommend staying at this property very highly! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

If you are looking for a place to stay that has a friendly and efficient staff, is clean and accommodating and is in the moderate price hotel range this is the place for you. Worst experience at a hotel ever

We (My child, husband and I) had a one night stay at this hotel last month since we were visiting Lenox and surrounding areas. There was one man at the reception that checked us in and gave us our room key card. When we checked in, the room was surprisingly large and neat looking. An hour into our stay we found the toilet seat area was not clean. But worst of all we found red (looked like blood) stains on one pillow. I called downstairs and spoke to the guy at the reception explaining what we found and requesting a replacement pillow. He told me that all linen is changed and I need to come down with the pillow to show him”. I said I was a guest in the hotel and I should not have to come down to show him the pillow. He immediately answered that we should leave the hotel, and he would refund us the cost of the room. He even threatened to call the cops when I refused to leave. I asked on what grounds I had to leave and he had he said he did not need a reason. (FYI future guests, I searched online and he was right). However, I stayed as it was late in the night and all other hotels were booked and he did not follow through on his threat. Next morning there was a woman at the reception and we explained what happened. She showed some concern, and explained that the guy was just a manager and her uncle owned the place. Then we left...phew. NEVER AGAIN AT A HOWARD JOHNSON. WE GOT WHAT WE PAID FOR. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
