Nice, quick stay.

Jul 18th, 2019

Our family was traveling through on the way to the Badlands and spent one night here. Check in was easy. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had something for everyone, so no complaints there. We would definitely stop here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Summer road trip

Jul 12th, 2019

Would not recommend this hotel. We chose it over a # of more affordable hotels during our 2-1/2 week trip, partly because we’ve stayed at other Wyndhams, which were all pretty decent, so we knew what to expect. Room was clean. Front desk kid who checked me in was like every other millennial you’d encounter today - not unfriendly, but certainly not trained in courteous customer service. Felt like we were putting him out just by showing up & requiring him to actually do the job for which he’s being paid. Like other Wyndhams, this one offers a free hot breakfast of waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, along with the usual continental breakfast items. Only there were no scrambled eggs, no sausage, & gravy was luke warm, at best. Went to ask if they could refill scrambled eggs. Kid at front desk said, “No problem.” Well, someone came & took the empty crock pot, & literally 20 - 25 minutes later I’m still waiting for scrambled eggs! When I asked again, I was told there was a rush over the weekend and ran out. (Sausage crock pot had never even been turned on.) Yet nobody ever did me the courtesy of telling me this fact as I waited at my table while my biscuits and gravy got even colder. Waffle batter ran out too, & it was a while before somebody got around to refilling it. Nobody seemed to be maintaining breakfast area well. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t expect 4 star quality from a 2 star hotel. I don’t expect a free breakfast to be gourmet, but I do expect it to be THERE. It’s the summer season (thus the “weekend rush”, I assume) - so PLAN ACCORDINGLY! There was still an hour of breakfast left - what “hot breakfast” items were you going to feed the other hotel guests? Pool looked ok, but hot tub had a dirty foamy film over it. Workout room was poorly planned - just a hot, open, carpeted room at end of the hall with no apparent ventilation. It had a water cooler, but no cups. I think there were about 4 machines, but no free weights or mirror that I recall. Orbitz said all 50 rooms had “jetted tubs”. NOT TRUE. I was actually looking forward to that, so was pretty disappointed. Wyndham should let Orbitz know that it’s falsely advertising. Lastly, there’s a 1 - 2 inch gap at bottom of room doors, letting in EVERY SOUND from guests in the hallway and nearby rooms. Hotel looked nice from the outside & lobby was nice. Disappointing for the price, especially as there are more affordable options in area, even a less expensive “resort” just up the road. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Youth Mission Trip

Jul 9th, 2019

We stopped at this property on June 29 with 31 youth/adult leaders on the way back from a mission trip out west. I haven't stayed in a Howard Johnson's in many years (and was a bit concerned) but I would certainly stay in this one again. The property was well kept up, rooms were great and Deb was very easy to work with when booking the 10 rooms a few months earlier. We had some issues with a credit card that was handled smoothly and then offered space in the breakfast area for the youth to have pizza and also for our meeting time that evening. This was very accommodating and appreciated. The hotel was also nice about letting the youth stay in the pool area for a bit longer that evening. The morning we checked out one of our youth accidentally left their cell phone in the lobby and the hotel was great about finding it and sending it back to him. Thank you for an excellent experience!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Clean comfortable rooms

Jul 5th, 2019

This is a pet friendly hotel so there are dogs everywhere. If you need a place to stay with your pet this place has a nice area out back where they can go to roam around on a leash. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Just down the street is Al's Oasis that has great food. Gas station on the corner had the best prices. Easy on and off of I-90. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Bed & Rest

Jun 26th, 2019

The beds were very comfy and the place was quiet. The check in was swift and easy but we had reservations. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was open and friendly. Breakfast was great and fully stocked with a variety of options on eggs and sausage. The rooms were clean and spacious. We would stay at this place again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
