Pleasant stay. Thank you Mr Stelian.

We were welcomed by a receptionist called Stelian. He is simply amazing. Very helpful, polite with a great personality. He made us feel very welcome. We were in room 12. It is quite small but nicely decorated and nothing missing. Extremely clean and quiet. I was able to leave my suitcases after checkout as my flight was in the evening. Highly recommended. A wonderful hotel. Extremely friendly staff and very helpful with any questions. A very welcoming experience. Excellent location. Easy walk to local transport which can take you all around Paris. Close to the Bastille and the Republique. Les Marais district is a beautiful part of Paris. Rooms are equipped with all necessities. Breakfast is available and is well worth including. The staff, both day night, were always there to assist and answer questions with a smile. The hotel is less than five minutes from the metro. The buffet breakfast was tasty and geneorus The decor of the hotel gives one a warm feeling when entering My room for a single was big enough and pleasantly furnished I don't know about the other floors and rooms but there was no noise either from outside or from other rooms. Wonderful hotel with fun decor, great staff, and so clean!

Jul 18th, 2019

We booked an unfortunately bad Air B&B, then found this hotel online, and walked over to see if we could rent a room at the last minute. We were immediately impressed with the wonderful people at the front desk, who spoke beautiful English, and were very friendly and helpful. They could not accommodate us that night but referred us to a nearby hotel, and told us that they had rooms for the following two nights of our stay. The hotel to which we were referred was also nice and got us in for that first night. The Bastille de Launay Hotel then stored our luggage (9 pieces including 4 backpacks, 2 large suitcases, and 3 carry-on size suitcases) at no charge, beginning early the next morning after we checked out of the first hotel. After a full day of sight-seeing, we returned, got our luggage, and were given 2 very nice rooms on the same floor. The staff was again friendly and fun to talk with. A little later, when we came back down to ask about restaurant recommendations, they gave us great suggestions. I coughed a few times while talking, and one person literally ran to the back, came running back, and handed me a cold bottle of water saying, “On the house, on the house!” The rooms were smallish but really had plenty of space for a few nights’ stay, and were decorated uniquely in a modern, sleek, functional style. The entire place was exquisitely clean. After experiencing the smelly Air B&B, I so appreciated the clean-air smell here. There was no odor of cleaning solutions or anything else, just very fresh air from the place being so clean. It sounds funny, but I kept taking deep breaths in appreciation, saying, “It smells so clean!” while at the same time thinking, “...but there is no identification odor, other than fresh.” The rooms had comfortable beds, great air conditioning, curtains that blocked outdoor light, and even a towel warmer in one of the bathrooms. This is truly a gem of a small hotel, with very close metro stations, perfect for seeing all of Paris. While experiencing the Paris tourist areas, though, we all couldn’t wait to get back to this less touristy part of Paris that still had plenty of restaurants and places to go within walking distance. Many thanks to the fantastic staff here who rescued us from a bad Paris experience and helped us have a great one instead! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
