From the beginning of our stay we had troubles with this hotel 1.The hotel was under renovation, which was not disclosed one bit on the website. 2. We had made reservations for March 9th and we paid extra for a night we weren’t even in yet so we could freshen up when we arrived early March 10th. 3. Upon checking in they did not have a room for us available. 4. The bathroom had hair from their employees all over the counter and this was supposed to be clean. 5. Stephanie at the front check in was the best thing out of our stay, very friendly. 6. The travel ban for US travelers went into effect the 3 day we were there. Doing what any normal person would do we booked flights back home so we wouldn’t be stranded in another country away from our children. Now 3 days later the whole country is on lockdown and this company is refusing to give us a refund even through extenuating circumstances. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! Worst decision we made!!! This is an active construction zone. There is no room service as it states in the reservation, no bar to order from, you have to pay for breakfast, no grand view either. I’m sure once the renovation is completed it will look great. But it’s definitely false advertisement. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A bit small, but great location and charming view

Mar 7th, 2020

There was some construction going on in the hotel while we were there (March 2020) but otherwise it was a great stay. The staff were very competent and courteous. The room was a bit small but not too bad and we were only there to sleep (the bed was full sized and comfortable). The biggest downside was the tiny shower. I mean hilariously tiny, like you can only bathe one side at a time using a shower nozzle tiny. My girlfriend and I, however, were not ones to complain and the shower got us clean so what else do you want? (She also said that the other time she'd been there it had been a bigger shower, so maybe check shower size if that's important to you.) The view was simply charming. We looked south over classic French rooftops and could see the Eiffel Tower in the distance. I never got tired of looking out our window, it was a big plus in the room (we were on the 6th floor; the girlfriend said the view was even better on the 7th and of course it wouldn't be as nice lower down). We had the breakfast buffet once (we were in a hurry) and it was fine. Better to go to a local bistro (Cafe de l'Avenue down the block) and have a much tastier fresh croisant and juice. The hotels location was pretty great. We walked to Notre Dame one day (it was a hike) but generally we took the nearby Metro (the 1 line is closish) and got everywhere very quickly. So all in all, a great stay. I give 4 stars and not 5 because you have to save 5 for the creme de la creme, but I would definitely recommend this hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My Wife and I did appreciate the upgrade due to the current works going on in the hotel and the rooms and bed were fine. We were however disappointed that the workmen started drilling or using machinery at 8.15 in the morning. I understand that the works need to be completed, but feel 8.15 is a bit early to be using noisy machinery. I'm sure they could be getting on with something less noisy until a more suitable time. Kind regards Ian Bargh TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Bad experience

Mar 5th, 2020

Only check-in was good.Other things are so bad. 1. There is huge construction on hotel. From 8am, you are waking up with a bad noise. 2. I put green flag in my room door for cleaning. But nobody did anything. When I came to hotel, my room was dirt and in untidy. And they are saying you put do not disturb. 3. Because of this cleaning and noise problem I want them to change my room. But they declined although they have a room.(they said all rooms is booked) I'm sharing below with pictures. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
