The happiest of memories

Apr 26th, 2020

We did not realise that our visit in October - a very happy time - was to be such a poignant and lasting memory as we have now cancelled our visit planned and eagerly awaited for.... NOW. (Thanks a lot, Covid 19 . Devastating impact on lives). This hotel is wonderful in every way. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The breakfast seems to get better every time we visit The rooms are very well equipped, with provision made according to the seasons. We are kept in touch by the staff via email so we can plan and make the most of our visit to this wonderful part of Paris and beyond. We send you all our love and say lots of prayers that we will return in the Autumn. Ian and Frances xx TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fabulous in every respect! Highly recommend without hesitation.

Mar 21st, 2020

Our stay was March 10 - March 15th, the early stages of Covid-19. We checked in late on the 10th and the gentleman that checked us in was efficient and very pleasant. He explained everything to us and said if there was anything we needed help with just to ask. We both felt very welcome. We had room 32 (I think) third floor and the lift worked well. The room was a double - it was spotless and nicely decorated. The bathroom was updated, great shower ! Of course the rooms are small - it's Paris. I didn't come to Paris to spend time in a hotel room. They two of us are shoppers and had tons of "stuff" - it all fit! The breakfast was really good, baguette, croissants, pain au chocolat, yogurt, cereal, muesli, cold meat and eggs.Delicious little jars of honey and jam. If you can't find something to eat then it's not from lack of variety. Risy was on the front desk the next three days. She informed us that some of the museums might be closed and to ask her before we ventured out.She helped us change our scheduled time for the shuttle. At all times she was smiling and helpful. The TV in our room did not get any English news channels and they offered to move us. We declined as we didnt want to waste time in Paris packing up our stuff for the short time we had left. When we checked out Gwenn was on the front desk. This was the morning after Paris went into "lockdown". People were leaving, reservations being cancelled and basically the Sh** was hitting the fan. Gwenn was also helping out in the kitchen, getting hot milk for people and basically running the show. We left our bags and went for a walk as the shuttle wasn't coming until 1 pm. When we returned Gwenn offered to print our boarding passes, much appreciated. Throughout breakfast and as we sat in the lounge waiting for the shuttle he was professional and affable. I would be remiss if I did not mention the regular breakfast hostess, this woman was well organized, very pleasant and could not do enough to make sure we had what we needed. Sorry, I did not get her name. All in all we have absolutely no complaints - it was the perfect location, close to the metro, bus 69 and a short walk to Notre Dame for the hop on hop off bus. Loads of places to eat. The Marais is simply my favorite place in Paris to stay and to wander. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A lovely french hotel in the heart of Le Marais

Mar 2nd, 2020

A 3 night stay in February was just perfect. Small but well equipped room with views over the roof tops. A maid attended to the room every day. Extremely helpful English speaking staff on a 24 hour reception. Very well located with two fabulous restaurants in the same road - Les Bougressess and Salento. An abundance of bars within a hundred metres and a taxi rank nearby. We breakfasted in Parisian Cafes nearby. 15 minute walk to The Seine. Despite the location the hotel was quiet with a tucked away feel. Tip - french taxis charge a premium for picking up at the hotel, there is a taxi rank on main drag within 100m - Gare du Nord 10euro. Great Stay

Feb 26th, 2020

I had a great experience while in Jeanne d'Arc Hotel, the location is very central and the prices are reasonable. I wanted to stay close to Rue de Rossiers and the kosher restaurants. It was a good choice. Thank you. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

2. visit, as nice as the first one

Feb 16th, 2020

My husband and I stayed here in November, and again in February. We enjoyed both visits very much. The quiet street, the beautiful decor, pleasant room with coffee/tea making fascilities. Lovely breakfast room with good breakfast in a stress free atmosphere. Nice and clean everywhere. The staff is nice and welcoming. The location is excellent in this historical part of Paris which we love. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
