DO NOT BOOK

Feb 20th, 2020

This is my 4th time in NYC and although it does have a good location the noise level is just unacceptable. Yes there will always be street noise while in NYC I can deal with that but its the noises in the room that are just laughable! The racket off the air con/heating machine is ridiculous and it sits behind the bed as does the NYC traffic noise. The noise when you flush or other guests flush their toilets is again ridiculous old pipes, creaking constantly. The bathroom well its the size of a caravan toilet! You’ll be lucky to sit on the pan and not bash your knees of the wall! The shower has a full length window with see through curtain so your friend or whoever you’re travelling with will have a lovely view while sat on that bed of you showering. Honestly go elsewhere its murder. The lobby is quite nice and location is good however even though you’re not in the room much in NYC you still want a decent sleep in prep for another long day of walking and touring the city. A weekend stay in New York

Feb 18th, 2020

Very nice room, small but perfect for a couple that need a nice place to stay and not planning to spend much time in their room. Hotel was located close to the subway and central park as well as many other convenient amenities. The only downside was locating the entrance as it didn't really stand out. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Better than expected.

We booked 3 rooms for our party of six . We were all on floor 8 and had no problems worth mention. Rooms are small but adequate and as we spent so little time in them it was no issue for us. The window in the shower being f the only problem of sorts for my son and daughter to share but they sorted it. The hotel is smart modern and in a fantastic location. Checkin was swift and easy unlike the lifts which are super slow to turn up. We used the service lift a lot of the time . Never used the gym and the bar is rely expensive 10 dollars for a bottle if stella and the in-laws paid 30 dollars for 2 glasses of wine. I would advise anyone to use the stores at end of street across road and we went every morning to the diner at the end of street a minutes walk Fluffys was its name. Great food great choice decent price and a great start or end to the day. Take back to room if you want to. Hotel it right by central park and a little walk to hells kitchen and about 15 minute walk to times square. Metro is really close by and simple to use. All in all we really enjoyed our stay in the hudson hotel but be warned you have to pay taxes for each nights stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Checked in for four nights but left for another hotel the first night. I get the small room, etc for a NYC budget hotel but the room was in shabby shape (wood paneling above the bed was stained from a leak), the air conditioner was noisy, the bathroom was stupid small. The carpet in the hallways was filthy dirty, elevator service was slow, front staff seemed disengaged. Very neglected property. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
