Within walking distance to everything I love

Aug 20th, 2019

What I love about this hotel is the staff and the close proximity to everything I like to do in San Francisco. What you do need to be aware of when traveling to San Francisco are the ridiculous and excessive fees at the hotels ! This is nothing to do with any particular hotel but the city itself . Let me give you an example- parking $59 parking parking tax $8.25 occupancy tax $25.67 on 1 night stay($183.33 room) SFT ID tax $1.83 CA tourism assessment $.36 Moscone district assessment $2.29 Destination fee $25.00 Destination fee occupancy tax $3.50 Dest.Fee SF TID .25 .25 .05 .31 This is for just one night ! Great location.

Aug 19th, 2019

We stayed there for 4 nights. Location is great and convenient. Housekeeping ladies are friendly and do a good job cleaning the room. However, the room is dated. I’d suggest to book the deal with parking through hotel directly if you have a car. That comes with late check out (2pm), which is a plus too. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very Convenient

Aug 19th, 2019

Hyatt Centric is very conveniently located on Fisherman’s Wharf. Hotel is very clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable and room was spacious. One of the few hotels with an outdoor pool. City view is just ok as the hotel is only 5 floors so you can’t see much. Hotel had everything we needed. Quick walk to Pier 39 which was fun walking around, Ghirardelli square is also a quick walk. Definitely recommend. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Useless employees

Aug 18th, 2019

Other than the convenient location (once you discount the street noise) and the quality of the toiletries in the bathrooms (when they remembered to put them) there was nothing good about this hotel. The staff, from the concierges (we had dealings with 3) who had very little information and what they did have was usually inaccurate, to the rudeness of the front desk staff and the housekeeping staff who forgot to replenish supplies such as towels, coffee pods, bathroom toiletries, ice bucket liners, etc when showed up all. Overpriced mini-market in the lobby. I know it's San Francisco but $18 for 2 bagels and an orange juice? I'm from NYC and it's outrageous to me. I wonder what the guests from Oklahoma thought! Noisy Exterior Rooms

Aug 16th, 2019

The windows in the hotel are very thin which permits outside noise to enter the room as if the windows were wide open. There are many loud, homeless people and trucks around the hotel at night. The staff didn't consistently service the room. I would not stay at this hotel again, even though it is a great location. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
