Business Conference

Hotel was great for out conference. Accommodations and food during conference were very good. Location in French Quarter and Canal Street is definitely a bonus! Would have no problem staying there again for business or pleasure. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Location is fabulous, center to everything. ENTIRE staff was excellent. Definitely will be where I'm staying on my next visit. Needed to have late checkout, no problem. Had late night drinks and appetizers in bar near closing time, no problem...service and food still good. The front desk staff from checkin to checkout were fabulous. Concierge gave excellent recommendations for restaurants and entertainment. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great place to stay in the heart of the French Quarters

Aug 17th, 2019

Enjoyed staying here. The hotel lobby, meeting areas, and rooms were modern and clean. The room was quiet. Food was good and quick in the small restaurant. The bar staff were friendly. Did not eat in the Redfish Restaurant, but there were many great local places within short walking distance. Try Killer PoBoys, a favorite of a friend that lives nearby. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

All around fantastic stay

Aug 15th, 2019

I arrived and checked in with no trouble. The room was very spacious and clean. We had a balcony facing the street but the noise was not enough to keep us up at night. I ate at both Batch and Powdered Sugar. Both were satisfying and reasonably priced for the area. I also enjoyed the pool area and mingled with guests. I like that they have grilled food as well as a bar in the pool area. This is a prime location to be at. Just steps away from both Canal and Bourbon streets. This could possibly be our new hotel to stay in while visiting NO. Other takeaways: comfy robes, Chromecast on TV so you can access your streaming accounts, daily specials in restaurants, comfy beds, good water pressure in shower, multiple sitting areas with umbrellas at the pool, I have to say again that it's a great location, free wi-fi did me just fine. The only con I have is that they don't have a microwave in the room but I've yet to stay in a New Orleans hotel room that did. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

No Room and Prepaid

Aug 14th, 2019

Once we arrived we were informed by Andrew Porter that my prepaid room was not available because they had some issues with water in some of the rooms and they are all booked. He was very nonchalant about the issue and had already had a letter prepared for me to take to another hotel for the night. He asked what is it that we wanted to do. At that point we were completely aggravated and not pleased with the level Of service we were receiving. We asked Mr. Porter how come we were not called and notified and his response was he didn’t get around to it. This was completely unacceptable as we had just got off the flight and come directly to the hotel hoping to check in and then go grab dinner. Mr. Porter got us a cab for $10 and sent us the The Eliza Jane. Upon our arrival there we felt more welcomed and the manager on duty was completely empathic to our situation and helped us feel better. We enjoyed the night there at that hotel and wished to stay there since that was one of the option Andrew Porter offered us but once we inquired about we would have had to pay for the stay there as the Hyatt was not going to cover the other nights we had booked. So we had to wait for a room to come available at the Hyatt and our check out time at The Eliza Jane was extended until noon which although we appreciated the gesture it was inconvenient to have to wait for the Hyatt to have a room. Ms. Maya (another manager of Hyatt) was a complete angel she is the one that made our stay and our outlook on Hyatt turn completely around. She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and did not have to be inconvenience any further. She arranged for our bags to be picked up for The Eliza Jane and she also had them in our room that was upgraded upon our arrival after we had brunch. My rating of a 5 is based off the fact my room was given up because the hotel overbooked and took people from the Red Dress run and how Mr. Andrew Porter handled the situation and his demeanor towards us. I just do not understand how you can have a prepaid room and not have a room waiting. My rating for customer service for Ms. Maya is 10 Andrew on the other hand 3 TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
