Excellent hotel while visiting Chicago

This is a very nice modern hotel in a great location for exploring Chicago. Plenty of restaurants, bars and transportation nearby. Friendly staff, bar restaurant in the lobby. Tops in my leisure travel standards. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Comfortable and convenient

Feb 28th, 2020

Close to restaurants, easy access to everywhere I needed to go. The meeting room was good, the food prepared for lunch was excellent. The proximity to other restaurants, big and small worked well. I would go there again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Luxurious pit stop

Feb 20th, 2020

I arrived in O'Hare from a business trip to Europe into a round of flight cancellations due to weather that had just changed, with snow and a deep dive in temps about to occur. To make a long story short, I re-booked my last leg to my home city for the following afternoon. I had a free night from my Hyatt credit card that was about to expire, so decided to use it. Instead of opting for the nearest Hyatt airport hotel, where I'd stayed many times under similar circumstances over the years, I decided to explore one of Hyatt's newer brands. It did not disappoint. With no winter coat on the coldest night of the season, this property, with good proximity and easy access to the Blue Line, offered me a half-block maximum exposure to the weather. The lobby is minimal, with a very lively bar/restaurant adjacent to the lobby. It was happily busy, even at 4 pm on a work day. The front desk people were efficient and helpful, making check-in very smooth. My room was on one of the top floors, with a view of the plaza next door. Room design is very modern, with a separate shower room and separate toilet rooms in addition to a very large soaking tub. The room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Since I'd left my checked luggage @ O'Hare, there were a few personal items I was lacking. No problem. There is an extensive list of complimentary items available, with prompt delivery in a special bag, so I experienced minimal inconvenience from my circumstances. I really like this concept and look forward to returning for a less spontaneous visit! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good nights sleep

Helpful front desk staff. The room was nice and the hotel was quiet. The beds were comfortable. It is centrally located - an easy walk to Millennium Park to ice skate or to see the bean. Many great places to eat near by. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Loud HVAC and vibrating nose that wakes you

Feb 7th, 2020

I wish I could write a better review.... The purpose of booking a hotel room while traveling is to have somewhere to primarily, rest. This was hard to achieve in the room I was given since its HVAC is very loud, and with below freezing temps outside one must use it. This, at least, served a purpose and woudl not be the first hotel with a loud unit that I stay at, though typically are lesser quality hotels where this has been the case. What is beyond me is the vibrating noise that would woudl start and stop for no apparent reason, was loud and lasted for extended periods of time- managing to wake me up and keep me up until it ceased. My room was next to the elevators so perhaps that had something to do with it, but I do not think it was related to the elevator traveling up or down given the time and length. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
