Perfect little romantic gem in downtown Denver

What a wonderful surprise. I didn't expect this much swag and swanky decor out of a hotel that's more similar to an extended stay hotel. Having a full kitchen worked out great for us since the city shuts down at 10pm due to the pandemic. So we were able to cook some meals and have a kitchen to store late night munchies :-) But the plus side was, still being able to have the luxury and accommodations of an upscale boutique style hotel (which included a bar!) Beautiful rooms, horrible customer service.

We did not have a good experience staying at this location. Upon check-in, we were told that due to COVID, housekeeping will not be cleaning rooms throughout our stay which was understandable. However, after our first night we noticed that our shower door was not secure therefore causing it to leak into the bathroom. We ended up having to obtain additional towels and had a corner pile of wet towels during our entire stay. This was brought up to hotel staff attention who called engineering. I believe engineering visited our room, didn't do anything, nor was there any follow-up. We also noticed our first night that our bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke. We thought it was a one-off thing. Something getting into the vents. It smelled like someone was smoking a cigarette in our bathroom every time we were in there. This was also addressed and brought up to staff. As an advertised 'non-smoking' hotel, we were very upset since my fiance is asthmatic. Staff apologized and said they would check on it. It was still an issue. The last night I couldn't take it after trying to use the restroom in peace, I called back again with my frustration with everything again. It was then the front desk decided to inform me that we could leave dirty towels and trash outside our door for housekeeping to pick up. Would've been nice to know at check-in as trash piled up and towels piled up our entire trip (5 days, 4 nights). The scent in our room was not pleasant. She mentioned that the manager would be in at 11pm and would follow-up with me. Did not receive that follow-up. On a positive note, the hotel room was beautiful and updated. That's the only good I would say if we ever decide to return. However, from our experience, it is not a place I would recommend for a needed getaway, first timers in Colorado, and birthday weekend. Won't be back

We stayed here for a long weekend. Only good thing about this hotel is the location. Rooms were very warn and outdated, kitchen area was dirty and just looked so used. DIshes were not clean and we got a quarter of a small dish soap for a 5 day stay Pull out couch was so uncomfortable. Hardly any food options, it was grab and go breakfast. A paper bad with an apple and granola for breakfast, yuck!!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Almost Great!

I so wanted to give this place a 5/5 but unfortunately I could not. Great lobby area, clean spaces in and around the desk. Super friendly staff! Unfortunately my dissatisfaction is about the condition of my room. Upon arrival I found the door propped open via deadbolt. Dishwasher had just finished, cold coffee in the maker from at least the last guest. Bed made and all things orderly but not the floors. Floors were covered in debris. Kitchen had crumps and leftovers from previous occupants. Bathroom, UGGFHHHH THE bathroom!! Hairs, hairs hairs. Long, tall, small, black, and they were not all of the head variety!!! Barf! If I’m lying, I’m dying. There were pubes on the floor. Two small almost gone rolls of toilet paper. The shower was gross. At first I figured someone had been interrupted mid cleaning and was to come back. They never came back. I spent a bit of time straight out of the Gate cleaning the shower myself so my wife could use it before we ventured out. I prepared to self mop by hand the floor But I stopped. Too big of a job without cleaning supplies. We just walked over all the towels and I had to tell the front desk someone needed to clean it while we were out. Also I left a $10 bill with a few item requests also hoping they may vacuum the entire unit that was gross. No dice. No housekeeping without special request we would find due to Covid, understandable. Hey, things get hectic and I don’t expect things to be perfect nor even close BUT the sheer disrespect of whoever left that room with food on the floors and pubes on the bathroom floor sure got us good. Plus whoever came to clean the bathroom after my specific complaint of it walked past a note with $10 bill requesting coffee and another pillow. Cmon, hospitality is not rocket science !!! Let’s gravitate back towards the positive. With exception to the employee who cleaned our room prior to check in, the staff are eager to talk with you and give you local checkout spots. Will consider staying here again but will probably check out a competitor with studio kitchen setup bc dagnabit, pubes on the floor is disgusting. It was obvious too. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

terrible customer service

I called prior to arrival to request our rooms on the same floor and was guaranteed they would be. Upon arrival we were told the rooms were on different floors and the front desk ladies response was "well I don't know what to tell you". She was rude and left the front desk for 20 minutes with my daughters credit card in hand. There must have been 20 people left in the lobby wondering if she was coming back ( we called the bank and cancelled the card immediately) The rooms were not what we had originally booked. kitchen was dirty, fridge had food still in it from previous guest and microwave was disgusting.
