Perfect location and service

Jan 14th, 2020

We have just enjoyed NYC staying at the HYATT House. We would thoroughly recommend this accommodation to a family or couples, especially those staying for an extended visit. We had a king speciality suite with washing machine. There was a king bed and sofa bed (as comfortable as you would expect). Kitchenette was well equipped and very user friendly for nights in after long days. The rooms are cleaned daily and to a very high standard. There are many delis within 5 minute walk to buy foods such as salads, hot meals etc. the breakfast is plentiful, omelette bar varied, quick and delicious. Staff at breakfast were extremely pleasant and hard working. The staff in the lobby were also very helpful and cheery. Always happy to answer queries and knowledgeable. Coming in and leaving every day we were made to feel very welcome Great views from the rooftop, rooms and breakfast area down 6th and across to Empire State Building Location is perfect to walk in so many directions - 10 min to Times Square, 30 min to Central Park, 10 min to Flatiron area ( Eataly great place to purchase food to take back to room), 15 min union square, 10 min to Penn Station and Maddison Square Stadium. We caught a few Ubers and easy to pick up from hotel. Plenty of restaurants up 27th street (towards 5th and Broadway) Thank you to all the staff who made our stay so fantastic. We will certainly be recommending to our friends. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Just on the Edge of the Hustle

Jan 11th, 2020

My wife and I took a pre-Christmas trip to NYC and booked a Standard King room at the Hyatt House in Chelsea. I called the day before we went to see if it was possible to get a room on a higher floor with a great view of the Manhattan skyline. I spoke with Melissa and she was very personable and funny, making a great first impression. She noted my request on our room reso without issue and assured me that any view from a higher floor would be awesome (you just never know!). We arrived the next day to the host stand and were greeted again by Melissa and her coworker. They were super welcoming and really seemed to enjoy their work! Our room was great, and although our view faced away from the Empire State Building, it was awesome nonetheless! We were on the 21st floor, room 2102. Floor to ceiling corner windows make it all so might better! Our stay was seamless. The hotel breakfast was included and it was great! Changed slightly every day (eggs, pancakes, waffles, French toast, bacon, sausage, hash browns, tater tots), plus the omelette station, and cereals, oatmeal, breads and fruit. They had gluten free bread and dairy free options as well. Location was fantastic - it was JUST out of the hustle and bustle of Macy’s and Herald Square, with only about a 5-10 min walk to get there. It was a 20 min walk to Bryant Park and Times Square, and about a 5-8 min walk to MSG. Also very close to stops for the Hop On Hop Off tours. An 8-10 USD cab ride from Times Square after shows at night. The ONLY issue we had, and it was minor, was the temperature control in our room. It wasn’t even big enough of a deal to complain about though, it just took some finicky work to warm things up. OH, and the view from the rooftop patio is INCREDIBLE! 100% would recommend and would go back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location, view and facilities

Jan 8th, 2020

We stayed in the Empire State Building view room and never got tired of the amazing view. We also had a mini kitchen which came in useful. Breakfast is included so set us up well for our days out and about. Staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful and really made us feel welcome. Good location with subway on the block. Would definitely recommend and stay again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The sofa bed was an unpleasant joke

Jan 7th, 2020

The staffs were lovely and friendly. The bfast was very good. I did book the king bed room for 3 people. The hotel offers the sofa bed. However, the mattress was in unpleasant joke. Impossible to sleep. The front desk offered a pad + extra blankets to support the mattress, which was on the floor, during our stay of 5 nights. Extra charge on the type of room(not mentioned on the booking reservation) It was a very unhappy experience for the price we paid for the 5 nights. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
