Great location, spacious rooms but unfriendly staff
Sep 5th, 2020
The hotel is very nice, good location in downtown Salt Lake City. The lobby and pool are clean and modern. Rooms are spacious. I didn’t find the kitchen in the one bedroom suit very clean and I don’t think they are doing a very good job cleaning every corner of the rooms. Also the evening staff was not very nice or service oriented. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Easy to Access

There is a lot of construction happening in this area so it's not the prettiest to walk around there at this time. I had a nice experience with the gentlemen who checked me in and gave me lunch recommendations. However later on, when I asked if the lobby bar would be opening, I got a bit of a snarky eye roll from a different gentleman. I get that we're operating during COVID, but perhaps offering suggestions or a few to go options to your room, would have been a better way to reply to a very basic question. Also, if one of the factors you use for considering a hotel is "breakfast included," know that until restrictions have been lightened up, breakfast is a granola bar, piece of fruit and a bottler of juice. No coffee . Nothing warm. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
PERFECT place to stay if exhibiting at Salt Palace
Mar 9th, 2020
This hotel wasn't one of the suggested hotels to stay for our convention, but seeking to find options on my own, I found it, and what a discovery! We opted for one room with a kitchen and the others simply with the bed & sitting area, so if we wanted to 'eat in' for dinner or lunch, we could. Outstanding breakfasts are served each morning at the Hyatt until 9:30, with customized omelets & much more. The staff couldn't have been more friendly, helpful, and eager to make our stay enjoyable. The location of this hotel is one block from the backside of the convention center, which was extremely convenient, especially that for this show, with our exhibit badges, there was a back entrance for us to use! There's a heated pool, gym, and firepit to sit around outside at night. We were there in early March and it had just snowed before our arrival, so we woke to the snow covered mountains all around us, yet the temps that week in the valley, where the hotel is, was like spring. Some good restaurants are within walking distance and there are plenty of motorized scooter services to hop on and off of (or Lyft), if there's a location a distance away that you seek. The hotel doesn't offer airport shuttle service, but Lyft for us was under $20, plus they have public transit close by. Definitely if your schedule alows, at least take a ride up to Park City (about 30 min away). The ride back, coming down through the mountains, are beautiful, too. An added feature is that they have washers & dryers on a couple floors, for guests to utilize. Being 'road warriors', this was helpful. The 'laundromats' were clean and in good working order. The only negative was the beds weren't the most comfortable for me, personally. I love my 'heavenly beds' and the Hyatt beds were adequate, but not overly comfortable (but that's a subjective thing- they may be fine for you). Overall- I would definitely consider staying here again and recommend others to stay here! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Clean Rooms, Friendly Professional Staff and Excellent Breakfast
Mar 6th, 2020
The room was clean, the staff were accommodating, and the breakfast included in the price is excellent, with made-to-order omelets, and lots of real (unpackaged) breakfast options. The outdoor heated pool and spa were wonderful after a long day (even in the winter). The only thing that bothered me was the super strong air freshener that was piped through into the lobby and eating area 24/7. The smell was nauseating, and it triggered another guest's asthma in the elevator. Unnecessary and unhealthy - especially for the staff who have to breathe it in all day! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Made reservation 4 months prior, was told 200 with taxes and all included! Upon checkout it was almost 250 & I immediately brought to their attention but when no reservation confirmation was sent to my email months back..I guess it was their word against mine & no resolution or care in regards to the price hike!! Wont be making this mistake again TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
