Late Arrival Not A Problem

May 16th, 2020

We booked the same-day through Expedia and arrived late...7:30 pm. Staff was very helpful and warned us that restaurants were closing for take-out at 8 pm as we were traveling during Covid-19 closures. Staff provided a menu for a restaurant that delivered to the lobby. I ordered food and it promptly arrived for lobby pick-up. The room was very clean, hot water was good and both beds were very comfortable so I was a happy man. I don't travel with pets so this is not an issue for me. This hotel does hire security in the parking lot from 11 pm until 5:30 am as Albequerque has a high property crime rate for a City it's size. The only negative is the free breakfast was eliminated due to Covid closures and concerns but they provided a bag with an apple and yogurt. I've got sugar issues so I did not accept it as the yogert was too high in sugar. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Charged us for "no show" when we wanted to cancel

Apr 1st, 2020

We were traveling with 2 cats so we were looking for pet friendly hotel. We booked this one via and only in the confirmation message we got a small text information that only dogs are allowed. We called the hotel immediately to cancel but they told us they couldn't cancel the reservation. We tried via booking com and got confirmation that the cancellation request has been sent to the hotel. Today we saw a charge for the room. - called them - it was a "no show" charge. So I wanted to congratulate Hyatt Place the hard earned $146.91 in these pandemic times. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not really pet friendly

Mar 17th, 2020

The hotel was fine. For $75 extra pet fee, you get nothing extra. You and your dog can hike across the parking lot to a feces-filled gravel mowing strip along the street to do her business.. Maybe they vacuum the carpet twice. The rest is profit. Or maybe Hyatt would rather you stay at La Quinta. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My concerns with noise and being a late arrival were-totally ignored by staff

Mar 6th, 2020

Knew I'd be a late arrival. Spoke two different times earlier in the day to make sure I could get my rooms in a quiet area and to not get the last pick of the rooms when I was scheduled to arrive at midnight. Had a room booked for my Daughter and her 3yr old son and one room for myself. My daughters room was not even ready. They were working on getting a room cleaned. Yes, at midnight - are you kidding me? My room was the last of the pick. Noisy and banged up due to wheel chairs. Broken toilet, etc.... Horrible experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My "Regular" Place--Love It Here

Mar 2nd, 2020

I travel to Albuquerque a few times a year and I've always chosen the Hyatt Albuquerque Uptown. The hot breakfast is awesome, great coffee bar, decent gym, and comfortable rooms. I always sleep like a baby here. Lots of shopping, restaurants, and groceries near by, and a great location off the interstate. I've never had any issues that weren't easily taken care of by the staff. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
