Great Hotel - Parking not so much

Feb 21st, 2020

This is an exceptionally clean and inviting hotel. Very nice. However, the parking deck does not have security and as a individual traveling alone it felt scary to enter/leave without valet/security. I would stay here again but would have another associate with me to avoid enter/leaving alone. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Best Free Hotel breakfast ever!

Feb 19th, 2020

Kudos to Barbara and Diane for the best breakfast we have had in our travels. I enjoyed Crustless spinach and cheese quiche with baked fingling and sweet potatoes, along with fresh fruit. Barbara was very willing to share the recipe and Diane was by far the friendliest and accommodating server we have encountered in any of the hotels we have stayed at. The Hyatt Place did not charge for parking. We parked in a public garage and the validated our parking voucher. Staff was friendly, hotel well maintained and again breakfast delicious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting or traveling thru Bethlehem,PA TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beyond treatment for birthday!

Feb 18th, 2020

Celebrated my boyfriend's birthday. Hotel front desk staff ensured the room was specially prepared with rose petals and sweets. Boyfriend loved it and it was a memorable experience. Thank you ... thank you! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I'd Be Fine To Skip This One...

Feb 18th, 2020

In the past, I've been very used to the exceptional service received at all Hyatt hotel brands, however, I have noticed a significant decline in the service provided at multiple Hyatt Place hotels. The check in process was just average, and not up to my general Hyatt expectations, no one was welcoming, they didn't even ask if they could help when I arrived at the desk. Staff was too busy discussing their after work plans. We had requested if they could begin breakfast an hour earlier because we were in town for a volleyball tournament and the players had to be out of the hotel by 7am (when breakfast begins on the weekends). They were very willing to accommodate our request. And, it was met on Saturday morning, breakfast was ready at 6am and was quite enjoyable. On Saturday evening I made a point to go back to the front desk to verify they would be doing the same 6am breakfast on Sunday morning and I was assured they would. However, upon taking my daughter downstairs for breakfast at 6am on Sunday, there was only bread/bagels and fruit available, no hot breakfast. After inquiring as to where the hot food was, we were informed that no one told the morning staff about the 6am breakfast request. The lady who I spoke with was very apologetic and did her best to get things going and the kids were able to eat before they left, although it was a huge rush. I would love to personally thank that lady, repeatedly, for her efforts with something that was out of her control. Friday evening we asked the front desk if they had any recommendations on places to eat that were close by and "kid" appropriate. They handed us a list of about 30 restaurants and said nothing more. I'm sorry, but I think that's piss poor customer service and was quite inappropriate. And, after googling every restaurant on the list, the bulk of them were either bars or high class expensive dining places. Everything else about the hotel was fine, mostly clean...the bathroom floor was decently dirty and the sink was barely draining, you could see it was so clogged with hair so that was pretty stomach turning...definitely not up to the Hyatt standard I've become very used to being a Discoverist member. In the future, if I need to return to town for another tournament next year, I will not be staying at this location. The fitness center has plenty of dumbbells and enough cardio equipment to get done what you need to. I didn't use the pool area, but my daughter did, and the kids enjoyed it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Drove from working in NJ to stay here. Very friendly staff. Room was perfect. I like a cool room to sleep and it was just right. Read reviews of breakfast and they are accurate. Had almost everything there and was impressed. Hope to go back again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
