Home Away From Home

Sep 19th, 2020

I started coming to this hotel a few days a week every week since March. For business. My first impression was "super clean" and convenient. But it quickly became so much more than that. This hotel quickly became my "home away from home", and I book no other place. They save the same room for my each week. But what makes it so special are the people who work here. Special thanks to the owner, Shiev, Morgan, and especially Alecia, the wonderful woman who welcomes me each week and does seemingly everything! They are more than friends. They are my faraway family. Getaway to see elderly parents

Jul 11th, 2020

At first glance it appears to be a nice hotel. The manager a day staff was nice. However, the ceiling shows significant water damage and the drawer is missing its hardware. When we returned from long day, our room had not been clean, even though we vacated premises around 10 am. The night staff was not helpful at all in remeding the situation other than give her sheets and towels to refresh our on room at 10:50pm. Will not stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Minimal Room Sanitation

Jul 5th, 2020

Of all the times to not step up sanitation... during a pandemic is the wrong time to carry on business as usual. Due to my job I fully understand COVID-19 and CDC guidelines. I was in Nashville getting my son moved in, not partying or bar hopping. I did not notice the numerous sanitation flaws until it was late and I was exhausted. What I found: small hairs stuck to the shower tiles, small hairs in the sink near the refrigerator (not sure if they were beard clippings or pubic hairs), a small clump of hair on the sofa, food crumbs on the floor, the plastic things from price tags on the floor, smeared food (possibly pizza sauce) on the counter near the fridge, red sauce all over the trash can, and a greasy smear on the remote. Oh, almost forgot, hair on 2 of the pillows. Thankfully the sheets were clean and I had my own pillow, so I slept and reported the problems in the morning. When reporting I was VERY specific. I was not rude. I gave them the chance to make things right and left for the day. When I returned late in the day, the room smelled lovely but not the smell indicative of a sanitized space, and the floor vacuumed and that was it. None of the hair or smeared food was cleaned. This time I went back downstairs immediately and reported. I was offered a new room and that was it. So after a long day, I had to pack up and move. The new room was cleaner but not perfect, found drink rings on the side table. This time I had my Lysol wipes which cleaned up the drink rings. In addition I wiped all surfaces, including all high touch surfaces. Honestly in light of all that is going right now and Hyatts commitment to sanitation, this location failed miserably. Stay somewhere else if you can. 100% will NOT stay here again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Tough Decision

May 26th, 2020

I know times are tough during covid. People and businesses are concerned and want to protect their employees and the guests. Safety is paramount. My stay started off fine. I checked in, all was fine. Went to my room and everything was good there as well. Second day, went back extremely late and noticed my room hasn’t been cleaned. I was to exhausted to call down and do anything about it. The next morning went to the front desk and they told me they don’t clean rooms on a stay over. I explained I was staying 9 nights and it didn’t matter. Went to corporate and they told me they’ll give me towels and sheets to make my own bed. I don’t mind if a hotel does this, but you need to let your guests know. Before making my reservation, I called the hotel to inquire what they were doing about covid and protecting their guests. I was told that they don’t do anything to the room for two days after a guest leaves and then they clean it. There was no mention that they won’t be cleaning the room. Another opportunity would have been when I checked in. The staff weren’t wearing masks, so it doesn’t seem to be that covid is such a big concern. Hyatt is trying to get the GBAC accreditation and this doesn’t help. I stay at a Hyatt whenever I can. I prefer the brand. I’ve never stayed at a hotel where I’m expected to change my own sheets. Some might be asking what was my rate...I could’ve stayed Nextdoor for $2/nights more. I checked out after three nights and took my business elsewhere. Staff was friendly, but making my bed and not cleaning the room was a killer. I now question the brand because this wasn’t corporate guidance. I get having autonomy, but at the same time, have standards across the board. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

“What a blessing!”

May 23rd, 2020

My husband and I found ourselves scrambling to find a place to stay last minute after coming to Nashville for his surgery at Vanderbilt and finding the AirBNB we had reserved to be absolutely disgusting and unlivable. I reserved our 4 night stay at Hyatt Place online and headed straight to the property. Although it was several hours before our scheduled check in time, they happened to have a room available and allowed us to check in so we didn’t have to stay in the car with our dogs and wait. The entire staff has been so amazing and have treated us like nothing short of family. If we had to be out of town for part his recovery, I’m so glad we found such an accommodating, comfortable, and friendly place to do so. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you’ve done for us!!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
