Newer pet-friendly property in downtown State College

Hyatt Place State College is a relatively new addition (opened April 2017) to State College’s downtown area. A short walk from the Old Main Lawn, this 165-room and pet-friendly property is in the heart of Penn State’s campus and in a mixed-use development that also features a popular area restaurant and a Target store. Four room categories all feature minifridges, coffee makers, complimentary Wi-Fi and separate workspaces. Daily hot breakfast is included, and there’s a grab-and-go spot for prepared meals as well as a bar that serves Starbucks coffee by day and cocktails by night. There’s also a 24-hour fitness center with LCD touch-screen equipment. The lobby features local art and common-use computers, and there is remote printing available from anywhere on the property. There is a fee for on-site parking. Some guests note that check in – on the second floor – is confusing to locate, while others appreciated the friendly customer service. World of Hyatt points at this location.
