This is a motel 6 type of room. My shower was dirty, my bed sheets were stained. Room service has no breakfast food, I did stay on a weekday. I just personally wouldn't waste my money here. The furniture in the room was cracked and old. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Decent if you get it for a mouthwatering price

If the room I stayed in at this hotel was in a vacuum, I would have rated this a 4 or a 5. Unfortunately, the room is attached to all of the other rooms and tied together into one structure at its designated location because it's a hotel. The room itself was pretty nice. I had a king room with a city view. It was very large, clean, and updated. It also had a very comfortable bed. There is actually nothing negative I can say about the room itself. My issues with this place are things outside of the room, namely the noise and the location. The walls are paper thin. I've lived in an apartment my entire life, so some ambient noise usually doesn't bother me, and, most of the time, I'm so used to it that I likely wouldn't even notice. Here, though, the noise from other rooms, either adjacent or above, is so distinct and noticeable that you might think it's coming from your own room. Also, this hotel is across the street from a railroad that's on the city view facing side. This railroad operates day and night and the noise from it can be heard loudly in the room. We stayed on a floor in the high 20s or low 30s and it was like we were standing alongside the tracks. I can only assume, but I think it's a fair assumption, that the hotel was built after the railroad, so I don't know why the noise from a railroad across the street wouldn't be considered more thoroughly. Similarly, my other criticism of this place is the location. It's downtown technically, but this is on the very southern border of what would be considered the main downtown area and a bit separated from the heart of the downtown area. Right behind the hotel to the south is a road with a handful of bail bonds and liquor stores. It doesn't look like the ideal area to be walking around at night. North of the hotel is the heart of the downtown area with all of the tall buildings, but it's about a 10-15 minute walk and you have to go across the railroad I mentioned earlier in a rather deserted stretch, which I'm not sure would be ideal at night either. This hotel will come up in any search as a downtown hotel, and it is downtown, but it isn't in the heart of downtown where you'd expect to walk out of the doors of the hotel and all of the bars and restaurants are right there or a few blocks in either direction. The Reunion Tower is right next door, though. It's basically attached to the hotel. All in all, the best part of this hotel, to me, is the quality of the rooms. Priceline, where I booked this hotel, rated this as a 4.5-star hotel. I usually see it in the 4 to 4.5-star range on booking sites. I wouldn't quite put it there. For example, for water, there are vending machines on each floor. The machine on our floor was out of water, so I called the front desk to request some. I was told, in a friendly way, that they can send two bottles of water up, but if I wanted any more they would have to charge me, which is fine. However, I stayed at a no-doubter 4-star hotel in Nashville a few weeks ago and requested water, just expecting two bottles, and they sent basically a whole case up for free. Nothing wrong with charging for bottled water, but it's also being advertised on some sites as a 4.5-star hotel. That's basically my recommendation when it comes to this place. I would consider this more of a 3-star hotel than a 4. In my experience, this hotel typically comes up amongst the more inexpensive hotels in the downtown area on booking sites. If it's at a huge discount and at an absolutely mouthwatering price, comparable to the motels in the downtown area, then I would say book it. However, if the real 4-star hotels in the heart of the downtown area are even close, I would more recommend to opt for those. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Everything was great until I looked under the bed

I recently stayed at your hotel (2-26-2021 thru 2-28-2021). I very much enjoyed the time we were there, staff was friendly and welcoming the view of the city from my room was just beautiful. The day my wife and I checked out we discovered something with the room that made us both a little uneasy for lack of a better word. My wife had dropped something on the floor and when she leaned down to get it she noticed that under the bed had not been cleaned. There were rose petals and alcohol bottles underneath there and the worst was a condom wrapper just laying under the bed. This was not the level of cleanliness I would expect from any hotel but especially not from Hyatt. We talked all weekend about coming back to Dallas and how much we enjoyed our trip there but for this reason we will probably choose another hotel for our stay. If under the bed was not clean how can I be sure that everything else in the room was properly cleaned ? Very disappointed TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Winter Storm Refuge

The hotel needed some updates . The beds are super hard as well as the pillows. We had to move from our room to try and find a better bed and to get away from a dog barking and the train. We were moved to a lower floor but we still had the train noise and this time a baby crying. Also the food selection was very very limited and we had to try and venture out when the sun was out to find more food options. This was not a very pleasant hotel stay. The only saving point were the very nice front desk personnel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
