Travelers love the location of this Hyatt Regency outpost. Just steps from the hotel, guests have direct access to the 4-mile-long boardwalk that snakes along Jacksonville's St. John's River. Visitors recommend taking full advantage of the hotel's address and booking a room with a river view (the alternative view is of lackluster buildings and rooftops, according to reviewers). Whichever view you opt for, guests say accommodations here are clean and comfortable, featuring Hyatt signature Grand Beds, 37-inch flat-screen TVs, complimentary high-speed internet access and minifridges. Outside of your digs, you'll find a 24-hour gym, a FedEx business center and an outdoor rooftop pool with city views. There is also the Trellises Restaurant, which offers southern cuisine, as well as the Jaxx Sports Bar. The food receives mixed reviews: Some guests cited overpriced menu items and limited options, while others found the on-site dining options to be excellent. Attentive service was reported throughout the property, but travelers were disappointed with extra fees added onto their bill, especially for parking. However, if you're a member of Hyatt's loyalty program, you can use points to offset those additional costs.
