Location in Polanco puts guests near plenty of amenities
Some guests said rooms could use a renovation
The Hyatt Regency Mexico City offers a unique infusion of Eastern and Western influences, with Asian elements sprinkled throughout the property. Not only does this Latin American-Asian fusion set the Hyatt Regency apart from its Polanco-area neighbors, but it's also popular with leisure travelers. Visitors say the rooms are clean and spacious, featuring a contemporary, minimalist style, marble bathrooms, minibars, satellite TVs and views of the city skyline or Chapultepec Park. And while you may be in the heart of one of Mexico City's tastiest gastronomic districts, past visitors say the hotel's three restaurants (especially the Japanese plates at Yoshimi) as well as pastry shop Amado are worth sampling. The fitness center, which houses a sauna, tennis courts and swimming pool, also earns high marks from previous guests, who describe the facilities as clean and well-designed. What's more, if you participate in the World of Hyatt loyalty program, you can collect or redeem member benefits and perks, such as room upgrades and dining and spa services, for choosing to stay here.
