Top Of The Line

Great all inclusive experience. The food is extraordinary for an all inclusive, the facilities are wonderful, and the staff is tremendous. Although the entire staff is outstanding, I only remember a few names. David Valencia deserves a special shout-out for his outstanding attentive service! Truly remarkable. Hiram, Ivan, Martin, and Eloisa were all great too. Only complaint... the air conditioning is weak. If not for the ceiling fans in the room it would have been uncomfortable. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Stay...Awesome experience...Staff top notch!

The only bad thing was having to fly back to NYC because our 5 days were over at the Zilara. From check-in to the time we left I felt very happy with choosing this property. From the location of the property to the very experienced staff, the hotel was well worth every penny. Special thank you to Adriana Garcia who helped us at check in and was very helpful when I had questions before our trip. Saludos from NY ! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Gorgeous views, delicious food and amazing service

I love this resort. It is beautifully situated parallel to the ocean for maximum number of rooms that are ocean facing. Overall, the food and the service are excellent. The main reason I'm writing this review is to call out two specific service providers. We went to the Maria Marie restaurant on site at the Hyatt Zilara two times (loved it so much the first night that we had to go back again before our trip was over) and both nights had the pleasure of having Valdemar as our waiter. He provided such wonderful service - not only was the food amazing but Valdemar enhanced our meal with his stellar service and wonderful personality! He made both evenings very memorable and should be commended for the way he spoils his customers! We would also like to commend Lillian, who works in the Real Club member office. She was super helpful and a pleasure to work with. We can't wait to go back again!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful place, but services have changed

We stayed for 4 nights. The property is beautiful and the staff goes out of their way to make your stay fantastic. You cannot ask for better service. The food is top notch. But there were things like poorly cooling AC in the room. No matter how cool you turned the temp it never dropped below 25C. Also, even after you have a service in the spa, you can only use their new very nice facilities that same time. You have to pay an additional fee if you want to go in again. There were always plenty of sunbeds and chairs. We have now been here twice and while there are alot of good things, we will probably try somewhere else next time. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not exactly all-inclusive

We enjoyed our stay in Mexico despite some significant setbacks to our level of enjoyment. I have to give credit to the Hyatt Zilara for most of the setbacks. We arrived in the early evening and checked in. We were not given the resort coupons promised in the offer. The room rate was as otherwise quoted. We dropped our bags in the “upper level” (actually 2nd floor) suite, and went to get some dinner at the Cantina. I requested a beer and was told that they only offer the premium beer at that restaurant and it would be $6 a bottle. I declined the extra charge beer and ordered the complimentary mixed drink. When the food arrived I found several bone fragments in my pork taco. I brought this to their attention and they apologized. We finished our food but not the too sweet for me mixed drink. Needless to say we were apprehensive about the hotel choice after this welcome. The evening shows were good. The pools and beach were great. Overall, the hotel was clean and well kept. The staff was mostly pleasant and accommodating. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves during our stay. Annoyingly, there were quite a few solicitations from hotel staff for up-sales. This included extra charges for premium beer, wine, lobster, restaurant choices, poolside lounge reservations, and spa treatments. It doesn’t exactly feel all inclusive when staff is pretty consistently trying to get more money from you. Also, tipping of staff for everything appears to be expected but good luck trying to get the front desk other staff to break a $20. This was our third vacation the Cancun area. We will be choosing a different resort next time. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
