Great location for exploring

Mar 16th, 2020

I walk to explore every city i visit and Hyatt Olive 8 is an excellent jump off point. Capital Hill, Seattle Center, Eastlake, Belltown, Public Market, Downtown, Pioneer Square and the sports arena area are all walkable. Rooms are clean and modern, the gym is excellent and the staff is always informative, speedy and friendly. Nice lobby seating area and the restaurant serves excellent breakfast. Seattle

Great hotel experience could use thicker blankets had to request more- they are thin. Steam room is amazing after a rainy Seattle day. Good location for restaurants and 2 blocks from Westlake station. Would stay again TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely hotel

There is so much to recommend this hotel: courteous staff; quiet and beautiful room; well-appointed; good location. The front desk staff and the manager were so helpful when I checked in. They even took the time to help me at the market (which had closed) and showing me the meeting area for my conference. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good things and not

Mar 8th, 2020

The Hyatt Olive 8 is nicely located downtown near the convention center. The rooms are well maintained. The large indoor swimming pool and hot tub are my favorite features along with the sauna and steam rooms in the changing rooms. I was put off by the large signs in large type in the rooms asking guests to not rape their staff and announcing that staff have anti-rape emergency buttons in case you try. The room and parking taxes were also quite high. These all may be problems with Seattle rather than just this hotel. I think the message from the city is for guests to take their business to a friendlier less threatening city. The final straw for me was breakfast room service arriving in paper bags in disposable containers. What??? TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellence

Mar 7th, 2020

Check in was smooth and quick. Amanda went above and beyond to make sure that my stay was excellent. I wish more hotels had customer service like Olive 8. The rooms were very clean and quiet. Beds and pillows were very comfy which provided good sleep. I will definitely stay again when I am in the city. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
