Good overnight stop

We stayed here overnight on the way back to the Eurotunnel and were pleased we did. The hotel is located just off the main ring road in Aachen but still within a 10 minute walk to the historic centre, it has an underground car park, the rooms are comfortable, and breakfast was good. The hotel and staff also adopted a sensible approach to Covid. One slight quibble was we had to pay EUR 19 for overnight parking which felt expensive for Aachen but otherwise the hotel provided good value for money. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very small room. Located in central Aachen in a boring neighbourhood. Rooftop terrace was full of wasps. Breakfast was not what you expect of a 4 star hotel. Parking was 19 EUR for one night. Hotel was clean and new but had no personality. We were extremely disappointed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

To point out that our masks were not strictly on our noses in a very patronizing tone even when at more than 2 meters of distance even before saying “hello” is probably your job...though neither polite neither welcoming... but to check if the plugs in our rooms were working should also have been your job, but clearly it WAS NOT... I suppose you consider that to give away rooms with no electricity in the plugs is not a problem... We had to change rooms with no help with the luggage.... and “sorry” does not seem a part of the vocabulary towards legitimately not pleased clients .... To “care” about clients doesn’t cost much and is very much appreciated: you should teach this to your teams... The concept of maximum price and minimum service seems to be the motto of this hotel... Small room, no view and a very slippery shower is almost a detail... Tourists: go to somewhere else... TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Top rated? I don’t think so..

This hotel was built five or six years ago but has not been touched since I’m guessing. It’s starting to look pretty worn out the wooden floors especially. It felt like student halls more than a hotel. Pretty charmless. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
A very good hotel

This was my first stay in this hotel in Aachen and it exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, I was very impressed how this hotel handles the situation around COVID-19. They have clearly thought this through very well and it made me feel safe. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. Such things do make a difference. The room was on the small side, but it was very clean and several items (e.g. the remote control for the TV, the glasses at the wash basin, the phone, etc) were clearly marked to show they were disinfected. It was also very pleasant the windows could be opened and they were open upon arrival. The room itself was very nicely decorated in a modern style. The bed was very comfortable and the (rain) shower was a nice bonus. There was also a safe for the valuables, plus some clothes hangers in an open closet. The room had a small round table with two chairs, but this is not suitable at all as a workplace. The breakfast was really nice. Due to the corona virus, the buffet had been closed, but the hotel addressed this very nicely. You'd get an etagere with jam, cheese, yoghurt, fruit, cereal, etc. Plus a basket with various types of bread. All wrapped in plastic for the hygiene. You'd also get a form to specify what you'd like to drink, whether you'd like to have scrambled eggs, or salmon, or some other extras. And the view from the rooftop while enjoying your food is superb. It made for a very nice experience. The underground parking garage is owned by the hotel and this is very convenient to park your car. There were also some things that could be improved though. I found the bath towel to be very thin and not so comfortable. I also missed a waste basket in the room. Luckily there was a small one in the restroom. I also missed some tissues. I realize a box with tissues is difficult at the moment, but a small wrapped supply would have been convenient. All of these are very small things though. This was a very good experience and for sure a hotel to seriously consider when planning your stay in Aachen! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
